Very good plant pot
Was easy to set up. It is attractive I really wanted something like this for my bamboo plant. Bamboo plants don’t like to sit in standing water so this is perfect. The size of the pot is perfect for the place I have it in. The disk now that’s a different subject….. I have never worked with coco coir I had never heard of it before. I followed the instructions but I have always used gel soil well I ordered that first from Amazon, ok so after the coco coir soaked I thought I’ll mix the gel soil in so I mixed the dry gel soil with the wet coco coir and planted my bamboo. About 1 hour later I’m watching tv and I’m hearing what sounded like rain inside. So I get up turn on the lights and the mix has overflowed. So I clean it up and think that was dumb of me mixing the dry & wet mixes. This happened two more times during the night ….what a mess. I learned a lesson though lol.

Alocasia saver
I cannot keep an alocasia alive. Period. That is, until i started using these! They are easy to put together, and simple to use. I now am successfully growing 4 different alocasias, each one putting out new growth frequently. These are great for smaller plants that sit well on a dresser or small plant-stand and are easy to wipe clean. They look like they would cost more than they actually do. I will continue to buy these anytime i acquire a new alocasia or other moisture-loving plants.

nice little pot - comes with a cocoa disc so no need to buy soil
This was a little tough to figure out at first, especially how to install the water gauge, but I finally got it right. You have to hold the thicker tube under the hole on the inside pot, then insert the little rod with the flat end through the hole with the flat end down, the insert the clear tube on top of the hole and push it in. I didn't realize the little hockey puck of soil was included. You remove the plastic, place it in the inner pot with some warm water, and watch it grow. There is plenty of nice cocoa soil to fill the pot and make a nice bed for your plant. I received a little plant for a Christmas gift from work and it was getting a little limp, but it sprang back to life after being in this pot for an hour. It's nice looking too - not bad. Nice and light and easy to care. The water gauge is ok and does work, but I still tend to feel the soil rather than rely on it. I do recommend this for a small plant.

meh. soggy all the time but great customer service.
Don’t hesitate as customer service is great. Please make sure your plant wants very wet soil! It's cheap and easy, and can see when you need to fill but it's super soggy and mold spots in dirt. ok for basil but other plants wouldn't tolerate it.

I think I like it! 1/22/22 Update: I do like it!
I bought this because it was cheap but I didn’t really have a use for it the few weeks I’ve had it! Just the other day I switched 95% of my H. mathilde into leca. The planter seems sturdy enough. although the water reservoir seems a bit shallow for leca. I’ll update if I need to.Update 1/22/22: I’ve attached a updated picture of my plant and I definitely like this pot! I’ve gotten a lot of growth and my cuttings are all rooted and growing happily. I even bought this brand’s self-watering pots in 3.5” for smaller plants. I’m only disappointed to find out that this has nearly doubled in price. When I purchased it back in October it was only $7.88 and now it is $12.88. That’s a huge jump.

Great Pots for Indoors
These are good pots for smaller indoor plants. The only thing I don't like is the coconut "dirt". It says in the instructions that the dirt doesn't provide sufficient nutrients to the plants so feeding the plants plant food is recommended. Something I didn't know until after the purchase. I had a plant not grow so well so I replaced the coconut dirt with regular potting soil and now the plants are doing so much better. I just water like normal and they've blossomed better than I thought. I'd recommend just throwing out the coconut dirt and replace with potting soil for better results.

The Secret to not only growing a Maidenhair fern but to have a Happy Thriving one!!
I am a florist and have tried to grow a maidenhair fern unsuccessfully for over 20 years. Killed everyone I have ever bought until now when I found this self-watering pot!! That is the secret to growing maidenhair ferns, NEVER EVER Let them DRY OUT! When my maidenhair plant arrived I immediately re potted it into this self-watering pot. Maidenhair’s LOVE HUMIDITY, so I keep it outside on my front porch out of direct sun and keep a spray bottle on the table and mist the leaves 2 or 3 times a week. Only gave it Jobes plant spikes for fertilizer and it has taken off like mad!! When I got the fern, it was in a 4 inch pot and then I transplanted it into this 5 inch self-watering pot. Used the potting soil that came with the pot and then topped it off with Miracle grow moisture control potting soil I had always heard that Maidenhair's like to stay a little root bound. I attached a couple of photos to show you how much this fern has grown since I re potted it in this self watering pot a month ago on June 15th until today August 15!! Only one month and this plant is LOVING THIS POT!!
