It was easy to install and it works perfectly. I noticed that Amazon notes it is a product often returned. i believe it is because folks don't install the special plug-in correctly.

I have used many other brands for pumps over many many years. once I tried Basement watchdog sump, never looked back. I found this pumps to be most reliable and smartly designed. With other brand if the float fails you have to replace whole pump, with this one since they are separate you can get away replacing float switch only. The pumps are made to last long time even with continuous duty. Customer service is Super friendly and easy. you have a customer for a life.

But has rusted out over time in the past. This is the replacement.

I had this same model for about 12 years before it quit working, but I liked it and bought it again. It may have failed only because I didn't elevate it on a brick or something when I installed it, and it was sitting in a lot of clay type sludge when I went to replace it. The impeller or internal components may have gotten clogged or seized. Again, I did not elevate the new one but I sucked up and cleaned the sump out thoroughly. I hope it lasts another decade or more.

This is a great sump pump. Usually, the float switch goes out & you have to replace the pump. This pump has an external switch which costs $36 on Amazon to replace. This pump will last several years and it's not that expensive.

Had this pump less than 2 months and it’s burnt up and stopped working and my house has 3 feet of water…. Will never buy this product again

Had one with a float that keeps getting hung up. This one goes straight up and down so no issues with it being stuck on.

Great product. Works as it should. Instructions were straightforward making for an easy install.
