The Mattress: This Lucid 10" is insanely comfortable. I was skeptical after fighting Amazon just to get it here, but once it showed up and expanded, I didn’t want to get out of bed. Less soreness in the mornings, super comfy whether I’m on my side or stomach, and supportive without feeling like a brick. This is the softest medium I've ever felt and at first I was skeptical but after waking up, it's just right. For the price, it’s a ridiculous win. The Buying Experience (Amazon): Getting it delivered was a nightmare. Amazon dragged their feet, messed up shipping, and made the process far harder than it needed to be. Honestly, the only thing saving this experience was the mattress itself. If you want the product, do it—but be prepared for Amazon to screw up the logistics.

Bought for our daughter and she loves it. We have 5 Lucid mattresses in our home from King down to twin. They are comfortable, durable, cool and just wonderful to sleep on. No sense in paying more than you have to. Lucid is an amazing value and a great bed!

If you get back ache when you get up in the morning, it's time to change the mattress. Indeed, my old mattress had a visible depression in the middle, and was not supporting my back. In addition to this, my worn out knees felt pain, for the mattress is bowed up, when my body weight is placed on it. Since there is not much cartilage left in my knees, this bowed up situation puts undue pressure on the knee joints. Too often I wake up in pain in the middle of the night and gingerly shift the position. If this resonates with you, then you might want to consider this mattress in the 'firm' rating. It's a memory foam, and it hugs your body contour. The whole body, that is every part of the body that is in contact with the mattress, is supported. Even though it is rated "firm," it does not feel hard; it is actually soft--it will readily give to the weight of your body--but it will hold your body up, without being plush. Plush is bad for your back. Your body is not sinking into the mattress. In this sense, it is 'firm.' I slept on it the first night, and I feel already the difference: my back hurts less. I could straighten up, without the great pain I used to feel. I think it will get better and better. So worth the money I paid for it. I will give 5 stars, after I slept on it for a week. For now it is 4 stars. After One Week report: I must say, I am glad I bought this mattress. The morning after the first night of sleep on this mattress, my back hurt less--about one half? As I slept on the mattress, the back pain significantly diminished. After 7 nights of sleep, the back pain is maybe 1/5 of what it was before. I now can get up and straighten myself without difficulty. Good stuff!

I like Lucid brand and had my last one for ten years, I loved it up until the ten year mark. Maybe my preferences have changed and I can’t handle plush mattresses anymore. Anyway, I do believe that at this price point it’s actually a good mattress. I read some of the reviews and I have to say, it deserves better reviews. It’s actually really good quality, if you have a very low budget. It amazes me that anyone would buy a mattress at this price and have anything to complain about. I feel that there should at least be gratitude for the fact that we can purchase any mattress at this low of a price point. If you want something better then keep saving until it can be afforded, otherwise maybe buy a used mattress off of FB marketplace. Anyway, my experience was - 1. The mattress wasn’t nearly as firm as I expected. Again, that was my own thought and expectations. It just gave too much for me. Which I can say some might love that it cradles them! Maybe it gave so much because I’m pregnant and weigh an extra 40 lbs, which puts me at 190 lbs. So maybe just not great for a heavier body. 2. I wish I had bought a ten or twelve inch instead. I think that would have helped. 3. No smell at all and was very cleanly packed. Bottom line - if you’re a lighter person and you need a low profile mattress and you also like to sink a bit, this one might be perfect for you. We bought it because we were In between moving, getting a new mattress and waiting for our Satviaa to be delivered. It served its purpose for a few weeks but now my nephew has it. He’s about 6 feet tall and 140lbs & he LOVES it! He said it’s so comfortable. To each their own… I’m happy with the purchase and super fast delivery. Thanks Lucid, for providing affordable comfort and a great low cost.

I can get over how comfortable this mattress is. I can sleep on my side or my back. There's a nice softness to it but yet a sturdy support as well.

I returned 2 other brand I bought at Costco because wouldn’t inflate properly after over a week, and this one was in perfect shape within 24hrs. Very comfortable and nice looking

Full disclosure: I have hip dysplasia, fibromyalgia and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Hypermobility type. Sleep has always been so hard for me. My joints ache, I toss and turn....this will be the 3rd lucid bed I've gladly bought and what a dream! I purchased my first Lucid bed back when the company first began, it was a basic memory foam model but it was the best bed I had ever slept in! Unfortunately after a couple of years, my dog decided to pee on the bed, and despite getting it fairly clean, it began to go soft in the middle, obviously my dog's fault. During this time I also purchased my son the twin version of the bed, which he still has and loves/prefers over his spring coil bed at his dad's... Now here's where I made a mistake. The last bed I bought about 2.5 years ago to replace my softening lucid was a hybrid style mattress from another company - foam on top, small coils on the bottom...my thought process I guess was maybe more supportive? Won't go soft in the middle if my dog is a brat? That bed was a literal BRICK. $300 worth of mattress toppers couldn't save my aching joints. It was hard to make an investment in another bed after only a couple of years, but my body needed it. During a great deal on cyber Monday I picked up the newest 'plush' 14" memory foam bed from Lucid... FINALLY SOME RESTFUL SLEEP! No tossing and turning, no waking up with sore joints and aches in weird places and dislocated bones! It eliminates pressure points, without being too soft! It's absolutely a dream. For those of you out there suffering chronic pain - restful sleep is so important in waking up feeling more human. Do yourself the favor - you deserve to sleep!!! Your body will thank you, your wallet will get over it - this compares to tempur-pedic models I tried in store that cost upwards of 2k! Get the bed! I had purchased the plush Lucid mattress for my other house & that one was PERFECT. Needed another mattress & for some reason could not ship the plush to Hawaii. But the medium mattress could be shipped, so I went with that. If you are reading this then you know mattresses are a very personal choice. How can a mattress feel like sleeping in a cloud & also feel like sleeping on a slab of concrete? Is there truly that much difference in 2 people’s experience? Or is it quality control of the memory foam? At any rate, I had a good experience with Lucid once. And had a bad experience with a different brand where the new mattress had zero support & gave me back pain like I’ve never experienced before. It also was so hot! And if you get the mattress & don’t like it, good luck getting it back into the box & returning it! I ended up selling it to some poor soul that didn’t know what a torture thing the mattress was. But hey, there were a gazillion 5 star reviews on that brand. Maybe the buyer got an almost brand new “like sleeping on a cloud in an inferno” for a fraction of the price! Anyways, back to this medium support Lucid. It’s OK. I wake up with ZERO back pain & does not retain heat, so maybe it does deserve a 5 star instead of 4 star. But, I just wish it had a tad bit more softness. Like maybe one or two more inches of soft memory foam. I’ve had it for a couple months. I am hoping as it breaks in it will soften up a bit. This mattress is probably good for people larger than I. And I sleep alone with a couple little furry friends. I tried putting a 3” memory foam mattress topper on it but it was too much, a little too soft. Maybe a 1” or 2” topper will work. Don’t get me wrong, I really do like this mattress. No back pain is worth a lot!!! This mattress is almost perfect! I would have traded the plush for this medium, but he let the old dog sleep on it with no waterproof protection & guess what? He can keep it! Also, the softer they are the faster they degrade. That plush mattress… the person sleeping on it is about 30-40lbs heavier than me. He’s been sleeping on it for 5 years & its has an indentation where he sleeps. But he has not complained about that. He does complain about the fact that there’s no support at the edges when you sit. That is true for any memory foam mattress. He ended up putting padded side boards on his bed frame to give it support (my bed frame already has side boards, which is perfect for memory foam!) I really wish I could have ordered the plush Lucid, even if I would have to replace it in 5 years. For the price, to me, it’s worth it. That plush mattress was perfect, this medium is almost perfect & since it is firmer, hopefully it will last a little longer. Good luck with the search for the perfect mattress! If you can afford to pay a little more, buy one at Costco or somewhere that you can return it if it doesn’t work for you. Or go to a mattress store & take a lie down on different brands. Or lie down on a friend’s memory foam & see how it feels. There’s just no way to know, since every mattress on Amazon has contradictory reviews. I do believe that if you are not sure, go with the firmer one. If it’s too firm, you can always put a topper on it. But if it’s too soft & causes crippling pain & makes you feel like you are sleeping in an inferno of heat, you are pretty much screwed. I do recommend this medium Lucid mattress. It is a good mattress at an affordable price.
