Case looks to be good but it won't fit a Hummingbird.
Case appears to be well built, looks to be pretty on par with the stuff Pelican makes. Unfortunately it does not fit a Gibson/Fender Hummingbird and I had to return it.

Great case
I like this product, I have an HD-28 Martin in this case and it fits perfectly and is properly protected. I love the extra compartments beside the neck to carry all your extra stuff, picks, strings, song lists, cd’s, straps, etc. good sturdy product, not sure I would use it for a flight case though, doesn’t look like it would hold up to that kind of abuse. But it is nice to look at and gets the job done and for that give it 5 stars.

Fits Martin D-35 and is Definitely Waterproof!
This is a really good case. This is the second SKB "i series" waterproof case I've purchased and I'm happy with both. The first thing I did was take it out in the yard and run the watering hose on it full-blast for about 10 minutes. Just as advertised, inside the case was high-and-dry. This is important to me as I perform outdoors a lot in summer and there's limited or no shelter - and thunderstorms will be coming. The locks are sturdy, the interior is well made and I must admit the available open spaces along the neck are going to be pretty handy. The case is heavy - I think empty it's 22 pounds ... and it's BIG. It's so heavy/bulky it has wheels like airport luggage and you'll want to use them. This case may not be for you if you're looking for protection to take your guitar to visit friends, but if you're looking for something that's ready for being hauled around for gigs and piling into the back of a vehicle I'd say it's perfect. I can't comment on the airplane status but it certainly seems very sturdy. As an experiment I left the empty case in the back of a hot car for a couple of hours - I can tell you that like any other case it will transfer heat to the interior ... so don't get the idea you can put your Martin in the case and toss it into the trunk of a hot car and get away with it. Definitely fits a Martin D-18, D-28 and D-35, including having a strap button on the back with a pickup jack. It is expensive, but if you've done lots of gigs you know what happens with expensive gear and cheap cases. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Excellent Case
I initially purchased this to protect a cheap guitar while traveling. After using it, I am comfortable and confident in putting one of my NICE guitars inside for travel. Particularly pleased with how the two accessory compartments seal when the lid is closed - preventing your stuff from becoming strewn about.

Take NO chances!
I got this case for my 2 acoustics [Taylor 512 & a less expensive Yamaha]. I got it because of the peace of mind I got with the same type SKB case for my CpThornton solid body guitars. Only slightly higher than a deluxe case that comes with high end guitars, but offers light years more protection. I'm keeping my original cases, but this is what I'll use anytime I am transporting more than just a guitar in a vehicle. Not as light, but holds a lot more things than the normal case. And the latches, wheels, and handle are well designed to make trips safer and more protective, regardless of mode of transportation or weather. Very doggone scuff and damage resistant material on this case; should last my lifetime.

Too heavy
I can't remember seeing how heavy this case was in the advertisements.I had planned to take it overseas with me on tour but as I am travelling economy class it is going to use up most of my weight entitlements. So now I am leaving it at home and buying another case.I will now have to sell this and take a big hit on the cost of shipping and the price paid.Be very aware of how heavy this thing is. That is why it lost two stars

Well Designed and Built
The rectangular shape allows for two comparatively large and handy storage spaces. The wheels are a great addition. With the foam and shell, it seems quite sturdy. It doesn't deflect much under heavy pressure, and though I haven't flown with it yet, I'd feel pretty confident checking it. Seems a bit heavier than standard, but with guitar and the storage spaces stuffed it will be well under weight limits. The wheels and flat sides will make up for any weight in terms of convenience when traveling. I'm sure there will be questions /comparisons to Calton and others. I can't speculate, and it would take controlled testing to truly rate them. For the cost, I can at least say that it is more protective than a standard case, has the storage and wheels, so should be well suited for travel. I'll update with any thoughts after putting it through the airlines' grinder a few times.
