The Great American Wringer Co - Model Stainless Steel - Hand Wringer - Made in USA

Frankly, I was all set to return this item as soon as I received it. This was because of several reviews stating problems with the bearings. These reviews said that the bearings were basically non-existant and that the rotating shafts were running in the 'J-hooks' and rapidly failing. When this product arrived, I immediately opened the packaging and to my relief the product is exactly as pictured, with very nicely made OILITE BRONZE BEARINGS. Overall, this product is well made and looks like it should last almost forever. My only disappointment with this product is that the crank-handle appears to be made of chrome plated steel rather than stainless.

My front-loader washer repair person said to never wash my rubber coated bathroom throw rugs as it will clog and kill the life of my washer. So I wash them by hand but can't wring them out. Too hard on the hands. I bought this - great unit, adjustable in almost every way. Hooks to my wash bin (scraped off a little paint when I tighten it). But it does a great job and saves my washer and my wrists. My adult daughter says it was fun to use. A little retro! It is very sturdy as it has to be to handle a six foot rug which makes it little heavy but I have no issue attaching it when I need it. Can be set up for the handle to work on either side and the clothes to go in either direction by moving the spill tray. Water does get on the floor but I can prevent that with plastic. I bought an aluminum tub to use outside on the deck in the summer. Love it!

I had no problem assembling this item, and attached it to a very large, sturdy, square "bucket". I did put some bricks in the bottom of the bucket at first (to help keep the bucket from moving around), but after I got used to using the wringer, I no longer need to use the bricks. I hold the wringer in place using my left hand on the top handle, as I turn the crank with my right hand. The items are wrung out so completely that they dry overnight (or in a few hours if I turn the fan on them!). I am very pleased with this purchase. PS I am a small (5'2") female and I am still able to use this item easily :-)

Great addition to the laundry. There are some things you don't want to put in the washer, and this really helps out. It's easy to adjust even as you are wringing. Attaches nicely to our outside sink. Very well made and looks like with a little care, it will last a long time. So glad to have found it.

This company's wringer is both "great" and "American!" so nice to open a package, see "Made in USA," and find inside a heavy, well built product. not some pathetic piece of chinese garbage. this wringer is heavy duty and i can already tell it will last for years. I only wish i could find more products made like this wringer. I dont imagine many people need these things any more, but if you do, buy this one. it will make you remember a time back when things were done right.

Poor shipping time and communication from Wiseman Trading. When I asked when I would receive my order the clerk brushed me off with lame excuses. When I did finally get the wringer it proved to be poorly made with weak hardware and rollers that are too small. If you try any synthetic materials it jams. Do not even think about wringing jeans through this. Bad product, poor customer service. We returned it and moved on.

Wringer works great for getting water out of clothing/items, I give it that. Only issue (and it's BAD... ) The rollers are made of rubber and it makes black marks on all items. The black washes out easily enough, but what good is that if I cannot use the wringer to get the water out? Washtub and wringer are stored indoors when not in use. Find another model to buy if you are going to need a wringer. I'll add, we have tried to mediate the issue by washing and scrubbing the roller before using, but it has not helped issue at all.

It is great to find a product that is Made in America! It is strong and sturdy and the stainless steel seems to be actual American stainless steel as apposed to the "stainless" steel that stains... This wringer isn't our only means for washing clothes, but even if it was, it seems it would last our lifetime.
