desertcart.com: Fetch: An AFK Book (Five Nights at Freddy’s: Fazbear Frights #2) eBook : Cawthon, Scott, West, Carly Anne, Waggener, Andrea: Books Review: good overall - so first i really liked this book, it had good suspense though not for a younger audience. it gets scary but i liked it, if your a fnaf fan then i recomend it *spoilers* fetch: 4/5 i liked this alot but it could've been more suspenseful, though greg was well described and so were his friends but fetch was good but takes things too literaly. he could read minds, which im fazbear employees knew how to program, also it was made before modern phones but the instructions said sync with your phone and you can text it. cyril was described too young. nothing else to say about this. lonley freddy: 3/5 i didn't really like this one. alec was described as just jealous, hazel was greedy, and aunt gigi didn't understand freddy's. the ending was not so good. someone puked on a bear toy, then the bear got locked in a dumpster. lonely freddy can snatch bodies (which then again how employees know how to do that) i think its more of a trapped being story including sibling rivalry. out of stock: 5/5 the best by far. oscar, Raj, and isaac are great character's. it was also action packed it and really gave a fnaf 4 vibe hiding from a nightmarish animatronic that hates light. the ending was sort of random. it didnt really describe where the tracks came from. in the middle it was baisically some teens planning halloween just like in real life. plushtrap chaser was all the hype in this story, but it never really tells why. also the side bits are weird. overall, its good for any one 10 and and up or a fnaf fan. not much to say about the epiloge. Review: Perfect for your FNAF Readers - If you have a FNAF fan this book will definitely get them reading. My daughter enjoyed this book so much she wanted more FNAF books to add to her collection.

Cawthon and Co. have done it again!
Another fantastic collection of Short Horror set in the Five Night at Freddy's Universe. While I quite liked the first installment, the first thing I noticed here is that the prose was smoother and more natrual, and the stories felt just a bit more polished in general (though again, the stories in the first one were a great time). The first story, Fetch plays out like sort of a Cape Fear style stalker-thriller and had some fantastic suspense with one of the most brutal twists in the franchise. The second story is a psychological tale of sibling rivalry that does some fantastic character work. It really explores how upbringing can affect someone and the dive into what causes someone to act deliberately antisocial. There's several layers of double and triple cross mindgames at play and it's engrossing how the character's neuroses build up and eventually shatter, and that's before Freddy starts doing his thing. The final story is just a fun action thriller playing out like a classic slasher with some classic Halloween-season vibes. What I liked about all of these stories is that they get you invested in the characters even before the supernatural stuff starts happening. If you stripped away the FNAF flavoring you'd still have three really solid morality horror tales in the vein of the Twilight Zone. Each of the protagonists deal with realistic, relatable issues (aside from Animatronics trying to kill everyone) and those issues push them into the horror in compelling ways. The universal plot thread between these three stories seems to be parental pressure and I think it's fun that each book seems to center it's stories around a different theme. The monsters themselves also seem to have a theme of being kid-sized compared to the usual FNAF creatures. I don't know if that's a metaphor for how the kids create their own monsters with how they try to deal with their problems or not, but it's interesting to think about. So far this is a great series that I'm having a lot of fun with. Be sure to read after the "about the authors" page, the "teaser" is actually the second chapter in an ongoing plot thread that seems like it will run throughout the end of all these books.

My son says it’s better than the movie
My son is Five Nights obsessed and he says these books are better than the movies. He loved the first so I got him this one to keep going. He read it in a day. He loves them so much. On to the next!

Happy kid
My 4 year old wanted this. He loves everything FNAF! We have already read the original trilogy together and wanted to get started on this set.
