Sizing problem but once we got 5je correct size they were great

This shoe is amazing, as in all of docs! The canvas, however, arrived STIFF AF and I was wearing blisters for a month after the first 2 days. I purchased a couple of shoe heel protectors and stuck them in and then and only then, was it totally fine to break them in. They are excellent post wearing them in. Thick canvas, well made and constructed - repels moisture. The cork sole is comfy on my feet walking everywhere all day and not a sweaty hot mess in warm days (with some 20,000 steps). Seriously gushing over these now that they fit perfectly. So happy I bought these! They do fit true to size, seriously, but after the breaking in of the canvas. These look dressy or casual and are all I’m wearing to everything right now with jeans. May not hold up for 7+ years (like all my other leather Docs), but I can easily see 2-3 years of regular use if cared for and a new cork insole. Maybe even 5 before they look worn out around the ankle.

Definetly, they are not longer what they used to be. Brand new with scratches in leather, sole cuts finish with irregular levels and appearance in general make them look far away from the expected Dr.Martens quality and finish. Realized they're made in China, may be the reason why. I totally regret this purchase.

I purchased a pair of Doc Martin shoes for my son, and I must say, they exceeded our expectations in every way! For two years, he wore them almost daily, and they held up beautifully. The quality of the materials and craftsmanship is top-notch, and it's clear that these shoes are built to last. We love them so much, so I bought a pair for my other son.

I bought these shoes as a replacement for sketchers cottonwood style shoes that I have been buying over and over for a decade. They are some very nice shoes, however, there are some downsides. First, I think they run a bit large in size. I figured that out after my first day, but due to what I walk in at work, I don’t think it fair to return shoes after a day of work. The second, they tear your feet up for the first week or so. This may have been shortened if they were not a bit large for me. The nonslip sole is good, but not as good as the sketchers. Lastly, this might just be me, and also alleviated by having the right size. I feel like they need a 4 eyelet design, 3, to me, is not quite enough for a work show. I’ve worn them for about 2 months now with no quality issues. If I can get 10-14 months out of them in my line of work I’ll be happy with the price to quality ratio. Edit: They also came with some ridiculously short laces that were next to impossible to double knot so that they didn’t come untied. I had to switch those out. Kinda feel like, maybe, for the $120 I spent on these shoes, I probably shouldn’t have had to do that. TLDR: If you are in a management position or likewise that doesn’t require nonslip all the time, these shoes might be really good for you. If you are in an environment where you need the nonslip capabilities all the time, these might work for you. But, I’d recommend reading the whole comment first.
