Super easy to tell when you need to Change
We use this filter in our cold plunge. It does a great job of catching dead skin and other items that get into the water. We replace the filter monthly, and it is easy to see how well it works.

Fits my Pentair Penntak Slimline Filter. Very Snug, though
Although it was not advertised to work with my 10 inch Slimline Pentair Housing I gave it a try. It is a wee bit too long but since my housing is very securely attached with a reinforced bracket I can give it a hard twist to get that extra quarter-turn to seal it. The filter is not lasting as long as I had hoped; but I don't think that's something to blame on the filter. I am using it to filter water sourced from a rain barrel system. My expectation is that it will protect my pump and drip irrigation tubes. So far, so good. My first filter lasted almost 3 months. We expanded the irrigation system and doubled our output to about 45 gallons/day. The filter now only lasts about a month till my self-priming pump starts to have trouble. Let's face it; the source water is only screened through a paint screen and a 'no-see-um' polyester screen before the flush barrel. The water is dirty and the algae buildup going into the fall is ... significant. I have had only minor problems with drippers getting clogged; so, I know that the filter is working. It's not the filter. It's that my rain water is very dirty. The filter is always solid black for about 1/32 inch into the fibers when I change it.

Great durable filter !!
We bought the six pack of filters awhile ago an haven’t had to change filters yet !! We use the 50 count and it’s great ! Takes out 99 % of sediment !!
