Very well made, performance tool.
I've been looking around for a new glue gun, my other is in storage out of state. This one popped up, on sale. At a really good price for a decent glue gun, so I pulled the trigger. First I want to say that this comes in an amazing box. It stands out with their product and slogan on their box. I got this for it having two modes of standing up. Either the traditional tip down, which is handled by a traditional wire stand, included in the box. Or via a plastic foot that attached to the base of the handgrip, also included in the box. The foot stand is easy to take on and off, and holds the gun upright fairly well. The unit is not what you get at a box store. It's nice and big. Feels well in the hand. And feels solid. A nice 3 finger grip trigger that is easy to work. As deep as this seats the included glue sticks, which are not the dinky little hobby sticks, this should work with the longer industrial sticks too. All around this is a very impressive glue gun. I'm only a hobbyist and low duty handyman, but this is more than sufficient to the tasks I will need. And for the sake price I got it at, it's still lower cost than what I'd buy a less quality unit from a box store.

From 1 ⭐ to 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stellar Customer Service!
UPDATE 8/12/20 From 1 ⭐ to 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I located Chandler's contact info on their website at it wasn't provided here in the product details on Amazon, and I advised them the gun was defective, that it didn't work from the first use out of the packaging, and that I was familiar with the quality of this product because I have the same model glue gun but in pink. I purchased the pink one back in January and it has been wonderful to use, that's exactly why my mom requested one for her birthday. My pink glue gun heats up quickly, I love how easy it is to quickly maneuver while working on wreaths that I make, I don't have to reposition the glue gun 5x to stay sitting where I want it. Its just a great product overall. Anyway, Chandler Tools Support team responded to an email that I sent to them with 12 hours or less I believe, apologizing that I received a debate glue gun and that they were more than happy to send out a brand new gun, as they do stand behind their products and customer commitment, in regards to the lifetime warranty on glue gun.... It was a very simple & quick process requesting a new glue gun, as the support representative "FLOR" was wonderful and very eager to resolve the problem. I received the new product within 4-5 days even though they told me most likely 7 days or so until I'd receive it. Support rep FLOR has reached out to me twice since then, once to inform it was shipped, and 2nd time to confirm I received it and that it's working as expected. Talk about great customer service, its very rare to reduce that type of customer service these days, even if you're paying for it via extended warranty or some type of product insurance.... I feel this is just the beginning to the business that I do with this company, as I'll definitely be purchasing more products from them and spreading the word about the quality of their products, as well as the stellar customer service they provide! I am so disappointed with this glue gun! Of all the products/purchases I make to end up being defective, it just had to be 1 that was purchased as a birthday gift for my mother (after she seen how well my pink glue gun of this same exact model worked, also purchased on Amazon). Right out of the box the first time she used it and the gun heated up there was glue everywhere.... Its just a constant flow of glue running out of the gun when it's not being used. She'll use it to glue something and not even have to hold the trigger back to glue it, due to the glue constantly flowing, even after she sits it back down. I've never had this happen before with any glue gun I've purchased over the last 20+ years for crafts, not even the little cheap ones! I specifically bought this glue gun for her because my mom loved how my pink one worked shortly after I purchased it here on Amazon several months ago. Now it shows me in my order history that I've missed the 30 day return period with Amazon for this product that I purchased for her, by 4 lousy days 😠. The only reason it took as long as it did to request a return was because I ordered the gun a few weeks in advance, prior to her birthday to make sure it would be here by the end of July for her birthday, based on past experiences and problems I had with receiving shipments from Amazon late, as well as returns that I shipped back to Amazon taking forever to show in my account that they received them from UPS even though UPS would inform me they were received by Amazon 3 or 4 days after I took them to UPS to ship back to Amazon. And this was all since mid March after Covid Pandemic began! So for this purchase/product, I planned ahead to prevent this present from being late and placed the order early. But now it appears I'm going to be stuck with a defective glue gun that will be pitched in the trash, unless I can find info on how to view the manufacturer warranty. I'm almost sure one of the reasons I chose this glue gun the first time I purchased it was not only because of good reviews and product videos I watched, but because the manufacturer had stated a few times somewhere in the description that they stand behind their products with a 100% guarantee and a warranty of either 5 years or possibly even a lifetime warranty. But until I get a working replacement for this defective glue gun I received to give to my mother, my review will remain at 1⭐

Perfect glue gun
Fantastic tool! Works perfectly with even heat and no drips or globs. The design is easy to hold, light, and the built in stands are well balanced. The cord is long enough to reach my work surface, but not too long to get tangled up in it. And the instructions are very clear and include some comedy, which I appreciate. Definitely recommend this product, I would buy it again. Happy crafting!

This Glue Gun Is Great.
This glue gun is awesome. It's great. The one thing I wish it had was a smaller tip. I can't tell where Im going to put the glue. It feels like I'm coloring with a dull toddler crayon. It's hard to glue with precision. Other than that... thank you for making a glue gun that stands up!! Its about time.

High quality, professional, and well designed glue gun
I don’t write many product reviews, but this one deserves it. Here goes: 1. Packaging was very nice, much better than the generic box or plastic bag many products come in these days 2. Pleasantly surprised by the quality. Body of the gun is molded in a high-quality 2-tone plastic with a nice dimpled texture 3. Feels really strong and durable, yet it’s nice and light. Should be easy to work with for long periods of time 4. Base stand is COOL! And it works really well. Works 10x better than those flimsy little wire stands which constantly fall over. This gun comes with a wire stand too if you prefer, but I like the base stand 5. Temperature is just right; not too hot, not too cold 6. Glue flow is perfect; nice and steady, and you don’t have squeeze the trigger super-hard either So overall this is a top quality glue gun. You won’t be disappointed. Hope this helps:)

As good as it gets for the price, but glue that base on! && Consider the new 100 watt one instead!
TLDR: It's a good glue gun with a unique stand. A year and a couple dozen uses and still no problems. However, now there is a "pro" version for $2 more that advertises 40 additional watts. I'd probably go for that one and get the surely faster warm-up times (link below). The good thing is that you have the option of which stand you prefer. You can use the extra-large base and the fold out rest at the same time, if you'd like--which parks the gun at a sharper angle, if that makes sense. Alternatively, you can remove the base, and simply use fold out rest alone (thus making it like 99% of other glue guns.) And naturally, you can simply stand it on its base, which I greatly prefer. I've used some other el cheapo models, and haven't had the best luck. This one seems very good for the price. It heats up relatively quickly (< 5 minutes), and while the plastic feels somewhat cheap in comparison to my mom's 30 year old gun (that thing's a tank), it's still pretty high quality. The stand is an awesome upside, but take care to glue it on if you don't want to lose it! It doesn't come off easily, but through the process of being bumped around and placed in-and-out of storage, it's come off a few times. (Unfortunately, mine is currently NOT with the gun, but when I find it again, some it will be epoxied to the bottom.) Since purchasing it, the a 100 watt "pro" model has been released. This should significantly enhance warm up times over this model's 60 watts. Given that it's roughly the same price, I'd probably buy that one instead. https://www.amazon.com/Chandler-Tool-Commercial-Glue-Gun/dp/B07FN4LNWJ/ In any case, fear not about ordering. After a year and a few dozen uses, it's still a good hot glue gun.

Never mind with the recent review. It is working now. (whew). We all love this, a lot better. Now she is working with her art and craft. Heat up time and Heat level really great. Long cord plenty room.
