Good and functional
I bought these to go in my son’s indoor punching bag and gym bars to add some more weight. They work great! Came on time and work great! Easy to use and hold up great! The zipper seems to be working fine. Thick material and easy to move around. Multi use and can also be used in the backyard. Good value.

Cheap, Easy, Customizable Weight, Secure
Was always looking for the easiest way to secure the pop-up at the tailgating events (when on non-stakeable surfaces). Cheap, secure, and you can customize the weight. While the bags are not the most secure ate holding sand (velcro closure), one could use rocks. Or we simply filled large plastic bags with sand and tied them off. The benefit - the sand is secure and mildew potential is low as the bags dry out faster as they are the only thing that gets wet in the rain. They are very easy to pack and go for the games! Are they durable? A friend borrowed them for an entire summer this year to use for a pop-up at their pool when an unexpected fire wipe out their pool gazebo. They are little sun bleached, but they worked like a charm. I don't expect I will have to replace these for quite some time.

Fantastic Product!
These sandbags work great! They definitely help hold my canopy up during fairly strong winds. I did have to fill them more than halfway with sand in order for them to be strong enough to hold up. Filling them up more than that makes them too heavy to carry or lift in and out of my truck. These bags hold a LOT of sand. I used quart sized Ziplocs to help against any kind of spillage. In each slot I added 3 of the Ziploc bags, and I only filled them about 3/4 full, then squeezed out the air before sealing them up and putting them in the sandbag slots. The one problem I had with the bags, which is why I only gave 4 stars, was one of them ripped at the seam and the Velcro strap on that same one ripped off at its seam as well. I did not reach out for a replacement, as we just started using them in the last month or so and I purchased them back in August. I will be purchasing another set, to replace the damaged one and have backup for any future mishaps. The price for these is perfect. Little tip: If you are subject to strong winds in your area, use the saddle bag sandbags along with these and it adds more sturdiness to the canopy.

Very innovative product
Worked pretty much as intended. The main strap velcro was not in the right place but found a way to make it work somewhat. Sand cost more than the bags, LOL. All in all would recommend, about 85% satisfied by product and better than the Home Despot sand bag.

Just add sand!
Easy to use and seem durable— have had for years outside year round— they hold down my grill and metal chairs from the wind on an upper deck.

How hard is it to apply Velcro correctly?
These are decent bags and work well to hold down my canopy on ground that can't take stakes. They fill well, and they fit against the poles of the canopy. But they have inconsistent quality. Two of the four came properly stitched together. That is -- when you wrapt the strap around the canopy pole, the hook part will match up with the loop part of the sewn-on velcro strips. BUT the other two had the loop part sewn onto the wrong side of the strap, so the hook part had nothing to match up against. Serious fail. As a solution, I used some chord and tied the back around the pole. This is a quality control issue, so I rated them down on both Durability and sturdiness.

WISH I HAD THESE AT A WINDY WEST HAMPTON BEACH!!
I put a bunch of small rocks in the bags and velcrowed them to the metal poles of the gazebo in my at times extremely windy yard. My gazebo has 6 poles and I only bought a 4 pack. Had a very bad wind in a storm last night and they worked like a dream. I just wish I had them when I was visiting a relative on a windy West Hampton Beach over the summer when I set up a small tent/shelter on the oceanfront beach to protect me from the sun. Bring the bags to the beach, fill em up with sand, velcrow wrap them around the post, and no worry that the sun shelter would fling into the air down the beach and potentially hurt someone. These bags are well made and of excellent quality. Go for it!!!

Dependable!!
We purchased 2 sets of these (4 in each set) for our new permanent gazebo. Our last permanent gazebo was mangled by straight line winds in Central Texas during a bad storm. When we decided to replace it, I did a lot of research to insure that didn't happen again. These had excellent reviews and great ideas for different uses/filling techniques. How we used them was to line each side of the bags with a small trash can liner bag, then fill with play sand until it reached the first Velcro strip. Once both were filled we tied a knot in the bags (to prevent moisture and leaks) and closed the velcro on the weight bags. We put 2 bags on each post, tying their straps around one another and securing the velcro strap it's opposite bag. The description says each bag has a 40lb capacity, however we could only use one 50lb bag per 2 weight bags. 24 hours after getting them in place we had 2 tornadoes touch down near our house along with 60+mph winds - our gazebo didn't move an inch! Thank you ABC Canoopy!
