I bought this to replace an identical one that my mother-in-law had worn out. I wasn't fond of this style and actually ripped the first one apart because I thought it opened at the circular tab. However, she was used to this one so I thought it was best not to change things up on her. I was pleased that the same case is available 8 years later and my mother-in -law is happy.

This cover for this old I-pad is great. The fine workmanship makes it look elegant and fancy.Because the i-pad is one of the first editions, it was a little hard to find the right fit, but this one was precise and fit very well. We used the i-pad today, away from home, and my wife was carrying it and using it well.The material is easy to clean and seems to withstand drops and accidental hits.I liked it so much, I purchased the same model for my i-pad mini also.

I bought because I needed a new cover and wanted one with the pencil holder. Bulkier than expected. I use it on an iPad pillow and had to break off the back at the swivel to sit on pillow. It would be great asap stand alone.
