Better than expected.....very sharp.....easy to use as manual focus
I am a Fuji X body user. I have X-T20 and an X-S10 bodies. I heard and read good things about this lens and, since I have a Fringer EX-FX pro adapter, which I use with my Sigma 100-400mm EF lens, I thought I would give this Tokina for EF lens a try. It works with the adapter as a normal Canon EF lens would, allowing auto focus and all data is shared with the Fuji camera seamlessly. However, the autofocus is not ideal with this lens and much slower than with my EF Sigma 100-400 lens that I normally use the adapter with. This slow focus was initially a disappointment for me. But.........but.......but I decided to give it a go as a manual focus while still benefitting from the transfer of all the other exposure and image data, and when I focused on the manual focus nature of it, I fell in love with it. It is so sharp, so easy to manually focus exactly where you want, beautiful in the bokeh, and so well constructed, that I decided the trade-off of looking at at is as a manual focus was still worth keeping. On both my Fuji cameras, the manual focus is nearly effortless and so easy to be precise. The manual focus ring is a pretty short throw from closest to infinity and quick to get where you want to get, even when close to the subject and uses a clucth push pull action similar to many prime Fuji lenses. Did I say sharp. It is exquisitely sharp and 100mm is a great short tele. Great bokeh when using for portraits. May be too sharp for some as a portrait lens. When taking into account the price, it is one of the best values out there. If you use Fuji and already have an EF adapter, you should give this some serious thought.

High quality, reasonable price.
I purchased this lens because I needed a quality macro lens at an acceptable price. Online reviews fir this lens are excellent. So far the lens has risen to its reviews. For me, the most valuable feature is the ability to switch between manual and automatic focus quickly and a focus ring that is easily recognizable by touch. A professional photographer might find cons with this lens, but the photos it yields and its ease of use perfectly fit my budget as a serious amateur.

Work great, but over kill for my business
I ordered this for my business, but it was over kill for what I needed. I would have had to set up a whole new setup for taking pictures of the items I sell. Overall, the lens is quiet good. Well made, good auto focus and great images. I would use it for personal use, but as it was purchased for the company, I returned it for a refund with no issues from the seller. Thanks for your customer service.

Great budget lens
I was looking at Canon and the typical generic macro lenses for taking pics of jewelry. I came across Tokina and never looked back. This is a great lens as far as I can tell. Crisp pics, great bokeh, and I love the "zoom" feature that let's me focus in on the smallest detail. I can't wait to try it on insects and flowers. I have only used a tripod, and I have a Canon T5i.

Great clarity and works perfectly
this camera is exactly as advertised and better. I had only used canon brand lenses up to this point and I was nervous to buy another brand (I didn't wanna spend $1200 on the canon 100mm macro), but this did not disappoint, its a macro lens so portraits and wider shots aren't important to me, though it does both very well. I photograph primarily close shots of reptiles, and use manual focus, although the auto probably works just fine for most things. the sensitivity of the focus ring is perfect, easy enough to turn in delicate situations while firm enough to get juuuust the right focus. imo this is in direct competition with the canon 100mm macro from pictures I've seen. This lens is a must have for anyone getting into macro photography.

Excellent objectif, rapport qualité prix, on ne fait pas mieux. Il n'a rien à envier de son homologue Canon. Il m'a agréablement surpris, la qualité exceptionnelle des images en mode macro. Je le recommande vivement.

ATX-i (interactive) is a new 2020 version from Tokina in 100mm f2.8 macro lens. I am using on canon 80D and works perfectly fine. The build quality of lens is quite good. The images are very very sharp, quite amazing glasses and no compromise on image quality from Tokina. I tried few macro, portrait and landscape shots... really nice depth of field and l loved it. Minimum focus distance is 30cms with a full 1:1 reproduction. The autofocus focus hunts a little at 30cms based on the subject. I recommend a manual focus for macro and autofocus on portrait shots. Switching between manual focus and auto focus is very easy and innovative. Thanks to Amazon and seller Appario for good packaging and shipping genuine products. Keep it up!
