Good quality image and wallet friendly
Quite frankly, it has a very good image resolution and the price is a wallet friendly. I have to video sources, a roku device on the HDMI and a dvd player with the RCA cables. Both work really good. I checked the reviews and most of them are complains against the sound. I mean, true it doesn't have a 2.1 sorround sound, but it is decent enough. I installed on my expedition and everyone in the three seat rows can hear it perfectly. Now regarding the installation, honestly it is not a 10 min process and without experience I would say it could take you around 1hr (my case). It is not easy, especially working alone, trying to screw the screen to the bracket you need to be a good contortionist or have good flexibility to work on a reduced space. But once installed and when you see it working, your pride will rise to the roof, trust me.

Failed after a few weeks of use
Junk components. Purchased end of 2024 and used it daily for 3 weeks and although picture was not great it worked fine. The next time I used it was about 8 months later and the entire picture while playing dvd was completely white washed. Either the component cable has failed or the hardware within the screen itself has failed. I will be contacting the company if I can locate their number but I do not expect much as I’m sure to be outside of a warranty window. It works great as a disposable tv if your ok with that.

Pyle tv
I installed it in the ceiling of the living quarters of my horse trailer to replace a flip down tv I had. So far, all is good. Good picture , clear sound, works well, and easily…

A line of blue dead pixel screw it up. Good quality lcd with this price.
Hi all, My expectation wasn't set too high for this LCD monitor since this is not too expensive comparing to brand named product like Alpine. I used to have a low resolution small monitor in car. That old model wasn't great but still serve the purpose for the kids in road trip. Hence, as long as this Pyle deliver the basic 720P or above video as well as audio. I should be happy. Installation: 1. Typical wiring over the headliner; 2. I installed an extra USB port for power up my Miracast for HDMI input such that I can stream from my iPhone; Video: 1. This part is the best part of the product. The cartoons I tested such as Spirit Away and Sponge Bob look excellent; 2. Out of the box, it has few (4 or 5) dead pixels. However, it didn't bother me too much; 3. This is the biggest LCD you can go for a 3 rows SUV. The screen size 19" is big and amazing. I used to have 13" or so. I don't think you can install a bigger 22" which may touch the driver head; 4. I compared 780p vs 1080p. 780p is great, but 1080p is amazing. Audio: This is a problematic area just for me. I was thinking to use FM transmitter since it is wireless and my existing Bluetooth/FM transmitter have been being used for years without static and noise. However, this Pyle's FM transmitter has 70% of noise/static and 30% of movie sound. It is basically not usable. According to the manufacture, the quality of the FM transmitter is depended on my area which is Metro Los Angeles. I disagreed about this 'location dependent' statement since my other FM transmitter is working flawlessly. Hence, I have to wire the RCA Audio Out to my head unit. The audio is perfect. The response of the button in the unit and the remote is quite sluggish, so please be patience. My usage: 1. Play mp4 and mkv movies from the SD card. No problem at all. No stutter, no delay and no distortion at all; 2. Miracast or air play from my iPhone and Android for YouTube. The built-in Pyle's USB port can't power up my Miracast dongle which I really expected, so I have a separate power for the dongle. Video and audio are smooth and nice. You can see an attached photo for YouTube screen. Why I returned this? I LIKE THIS BIG AND VIVID SCREEN. It is a big hassle to uninstall it from my old car. After using it for 2 weeks, there is a solid vertical blue line appeared in the left side of the screen. You can see it in my attachment which is the screen playing mp3 songs. The line is there all the time such as in menu, movie playing and etc. Durability and quality control of the product can be a concern. Friendly reminder: 1. If you expect FM transmitter or IR transmitter which is YMMV, you will end it up use Audio out. Not too many LCD display in the market have Audio out. This is one of the reason I bought this Pyle 1925; 2. Do expect a few dead pixels; Update: Bought another one around July 2020. Now, it is after 6 months and so far so good.

neat display
The screen is big so I don't get complaints from my kids that it is too small. It has about 4 ways to connect thins, 1 HDMI port, 1 USB prt, 1 Micro memory card port, and 2 VGA port. Those are a great number of options that could be taken full advantage of. I currently have a coverter box, a micro memory card, and a HDMI cable to my phone to give my kids opons to watch tv the go. The coverter box isn't the best since sicgnal isn't that great when driving but if your parked and waiting for a bit then having a tv is great option to have. The picture of the diplay is good fo what it is althuogh I wish it was better.

Installation mayhem
I may come back to update my rating once (and if) I can finish the installation. There needs to be another 'Rate Feature' -- Installation. I'm wondering how many people who rated this high either did not do their own installation or are basing their ratings solely on the performance of the device. I hope it's the latter, because this has been a real pain to install, and I'm not all the way there yet! Here we go: 1. The information (and the installation instructions) fail to mention 3 more wires - black, red, and yellow. I had to go to the Q&A to find out what these wires are for and how to use them. Turns out they are for the unit's light (which, by the way, is also missing from the device description). So you don't have to search beyond here - black is ground, red is constant power, and yellow can tie into the dome light for an open door. 2. The install guide shows pictures of the RCA connectors -- all the same. When, actually, they aren't. 3 are female, 3 are male. The yellow (video) input and output ones both say 'V IN' on them, so I hope I am connecting it up correctly. 3. The 6 bolts (diagrams show only 4) to mount to the metal plate are very short. There are no guides to line up the holes, so use your magic to try to line them up. As for me, I delayed my installation and bought longer ones to install for guides, then I'll tighten down the other 4 holes, followed up by the last 2 guide holes once the 4 are in. That's the plan at least. 4. Mounting -- Ever installed a ceiling fan where you're trying to connect the wires, tuck them away, and put the fan in place all at the same time? This is similar, except it is WORSE. There is a lot of wiring, and no cavity to hide them in. if you have a sunroof, this makes it even more fun because tucking your wiring up above may (will) get in the way of the sunroof's operation. 5. Power -- I do not know what the gauge is of this wire, but if there is a unit of measure by hair thickness, this would fall into that category. I had 0% success in determining the amount of current draw this device is rated at, but based on the size of the wire, I hope it's in the low mA range or else it's going to melt like chocolate on a hot dash. I'm really hoping that everything works once it's in, because I'd really hate to have to take it down after my impending circus performance. As stated, I may update this review once I get the longer bolts and safely have the wires tucked away and have actually tried it out. I'm hoping to at least bump this up to a 3. UPDATE: I got the longest bolts available from Home Depot, putting one in 2 opposite corners. I also bought bolts (again, Home Depot) that were about twice as long as the ones that came with the unit. Able to tuck, slide, push, press... then got the bolts started and it's all installed and working! Video looks OK (not very good if at too much of an angle). The six small rubber covers for the bolt holes do not stay in at all -- not a big deal, just something I noticed. Updated this to a '3' given the successful finalization and that it works.

This is not what you want.
I purchased this for my new ford transit, its a 13 passenger one ton van. We have adopted 6 children and planning a vacation. The idea being they could listen to their movies with the infer red head phones I purchased separately 6 pairs. The monitor is suppose to have the ability to send Infer red A and B head phones also can pick up I F A and B. After trying admiralty to get this function to work I have come to the conclusion that this function is not installed to monitor. There is virtually no instructions and the so called installation kit is a small flat piece of metal attached to the monitor this is completely inadequate for the size and weight of monitor also the rigidity of hing. I was able to place a more substantial piece of steel above headliner to affix this thing to. The only sound I have is the Monitors very low sounding speakers that are drowned out by any noise the FM transmitter to car stereo works with a great deal of static, on any channel. I was Hoping to have a nice thing for the kids instead I got this poorly made no instruction, inoperable Infer red Static sounding monitor. so after spending the money for this monitor and purchase of headphones plus materials to install and hours of aggravation to be let with something that does not come close to what it is suppose to be, I am going to remove it and will be left with damage to my vehicle insult to injury. I wish I could have left a positive review but that's impossible considering all the above.
