The color is canary. It is about a shade lighter than the typical legal pad canary color. But this pad can take a beating without falling apart; it has a very sturdy back cover.

Q: Does ink bleed through?

I use these for work with my Pentenl liquid gel ink pen and I have had zero problems with ink bleeding through. The paper is not very thin like other paper pads, you will be pleased!

Q: What to do if it is damaged during transportation

Contact amazon. Mine was immediately replaced. I was very happy with Amazon.
