This little gadget is great. It took me all of 10 minutes to figure out how to install it. And it fits really well anywhere because the power supply wire is very long, and can be plugged into either side of the unit. So I plugged it in behind my TV (next to the propane fireplace), ran the cord under the floor moulding, and set this little gadget just inside the hearth on the floor. It virtually disappears and offers us a huge amount of peace of mind. Propane fireplaces have, after all, been known to fail! GET ONE!! You cannot go wrong.

We have gas in our home and one day a burning was not completely turn off. We smelled gas and checked, but if we were asleep we might not have. So we purchased this product and the installation was easy.

Have placed it next to our natural gas furnace and it has work now properly with no issues.

Added this to our travel trailer near the water heater, stove, and refrigerator that use propane. Tested this by turning on the stove and not lighting it, and it is fairly quick at detection, as it started it's alert before I was able to smell the gas from about 10 feet away. Alarm is loud and also seems to clear fairly quickly when the gas was shut off and began to dissipate.

So far the instructions are very, very hard to interpret. I shouldn't be laughing so hard considering this is something I bought to potentially same my life. I will leave more updates when I have them.

I bought this little device when I installed my fireplace, and at first, I was very skeptical of its effectiveness; one morning this little gadget began to alert me about the presence of gas and, I wasn't very convinced but I decided to call the gas company for our safety, the gas company came and inspected inside of my house and no leak was detected, however, their very expensive and specialized equipment was detecting a minuscule amount of gas particles, our neighbor had gone on vacation so I called her explaining the situation and she allowed us to enter into her house through the garage door, when entering her home and checking the presence of gas it turns out that there was a gas leak in his utility room and since the house had been shut the gas was building up and this was the reason for the device to alert me even though the leak wasn't in my house, thanks Cazoner probably your device saved our life.
