Where were these 30 years ago (before computers) … We used to have to build up little pieces of tape under the circle template to keep ink from bleeding under the template … no more! … these templates have little nubs placed on the bottom side to keep the template slightly raised above the surface your working on … enjoying using them for doing hand design sketches in my journal

I wasn't expecting this to be great quality because it's pretty cheap. However, it's much better than I expected. It's lightweight and easy to carry/store. I don't know how other people will be using this, but I taped mine to my laptop, so I could view an image through the circle and draw it proportionally. Because it's so lightweight, it didn't budge, even with only one piece of tape. It's also really easy to trace. The only drawing errors I've made while using it have been purely my fault. I highly recommend this product. Edit: I forgot to mention, it has tiny projections on the back. I left a picture to show what I'm talking about. But they allow you to trace without the whole stencil laying on your drawing. That way, your work doesn't smear. I love that feature!

I've used this for several art projects for myself and with kids. It's sturdy enough to use over and over and makes drawing circles in lots of sizes very easy.

There are bumps on this template that act like little feet to space it away from the surface you are examining.. If you want to trace an accurate circle on a surface, you need to turn the template over so the bumps face up, not down. The print is reversed when it is upside down.. annoying. This template is made of thin plastic, which is nice, but it is flexible. You need to hold the template carefully against a surface you are tracing onto so that the pressure of the pencil does not lift the template from the surface. Annoying, but I can live with it.

Sometimes it's just easier to use a template than fiddling with a compass or trammel. This is a great template. Thin and flexible, does have the very slight nibs on one side - those can be trimmed off if desired. I wouldn't mind if this were a little longer and added two or three more larger sizes. I like that it's SAE sizes, too...have accumulated various metric ones and often those sizes aren't quite right for the task.

I sometimes use plans that are measured out in the Metric system and having a reference for the actual sizes is really a convenience to me. This template is just the ticket for the work I do. I am able to visually compare metric/imperial measurements and decide what I will do, ie, use the closest Imperial measurement or make the metric item. Since I also have a metric dowel block, it is a simple decision in most cases. this template is made of a sturdy plastic material and its accuracy is excellent. Definitely worth the price if you need metric measures.

This is a good quality stencil. I love the different varieties of circles. This one was a bit more expensive than some others I have seen, but I liked the selection better on this one. I am happy with this purchase.
