This is my first cajon and really my first time trying to get to know a percussion instrument, so my take is coming more from the standpoint of value and quality. The instrument is well constructed, with quality materials. Adjustments to the sound, amount of strings heard, are relatively easy. And hooking it up to my mixer to play through my studio monitors was easier than I expected. Still working on actually playing it well, and having a blast doing it! I would recommend to anyone interested in the cajon, novice or otherwise, who would like the flexibility of hooking it up to an amp at some point, whether it be for your own enjoyment, to wake the neighbors, or to perform.

Smaller version; works fine

My husband was so excited about the drum. It has great sound and he loves the fact that you can plug it into an amp, however we discovered that on the right side of the drum (see pictures of right and left side) the screws are not properly set. We are definitely disappointed he is going to try to fix it fingers crossed we make out ok.

Drumming at home

This is great for the money!!Sound is on point, I'm 230 lbs male, and I feel safe sitting on it.Electric plug in so I can jam with my neibor.It's prob not the "best"But in my eyes it is.Great buy!!
