Just plug in and go. All the outlet video connections are 4K capable and provide a crisp clear picture.

I've connected to every power outlet used multiple usb c cables along with different power sources. The device turns on, but does not link to neither of my displays. I used HDMI and DP neither works. I tried detecting the monitors even redownloaded the drivers from the Lenovo website. I contacted support to see if I was missing anything, the only they kept referring me to do what send in my laptop being that my ports or bad, but I've used other docking stations, and my old works just find, it's just the resolution that it allows is something I am tired of looking at. I would not recommend this docking station if you have the same laptop. Yes, I did cut off my 2nd display in hopes that it would work still nothing I'm returning this. Good luck to others and congrats to those who got it to work.

Per specification, this docking station fills the expectation perfectly. I've been using it for years and enjoys it very much.

Not compatible with all laptops or pcs. If you've got a Lenovo, which I do for work. It's very reliable. But I bought one for an HP Laptop thinking it would work. No. It lacked some functionality. Get a dock from your laptop's company to just avoid a lot of problems.

To use this product seamlessly with X1 Carbon Gen 7, you need to update the latest firmware as soon as you receive. Otherwise, the screen will flicker.

I bought a second one of these for my second home. I work remotely and having 3 monitors and only a single cable to control Ethernet, 2xHDMI, 2xHD Port, multiple USB devices is nice. However. After working great for a few weeks, the device stopped working with any monitors. I have to unplug, then plug in the HDMI (Single one) about 20-30 times, sometimes reboot several times, then eventually I'll get the monitor to work. But when I plug in the secondary one it doesn't come on, and knocks out the first one. After unplugging, both in different combinations, and rebooting several times I can get both monitors running same time. Also the unit massively overheats, so I leave it off until I use it. Have lenovo software, have run all the firmware and updates. Still the issue persists. Really looking for a new solution. I'm probably past the return date, so won't be able to return for a new one in hopes that it works. That's on me. But am considering an alternative. Something I bought that's new, and at this price shouldn't behave like this.

Very efficient. It serves its purpose

This is a refurbished product not NEW as stated on site.warranty started since 2019 and ended 2022! Very disappointing and ridiculous!

A good docking station but in order to use it with my laptop I had to buy an additional connection cable AND a second power supply which both power supplies have to be plugged in for it to work. Added more expense and an extra power lead and brick on my desk which is a pain, but once setup it has been working well.

The item came on time, however it was obvious that it wasn’t a New unit as stated. Box was unsealed, accessories opened from their original plastic packaging and the dock itself had scratches on the body. Considering the price I paid for this, it was a very disappointing Amazon experience.
