An outstanding film. Daniel Day-Lewis playing Cecil Vyse perhaps the best of an amazing caste.

This was sent by a European supplier in a format not compatible with North American dvd players and it couldn't be played here in Canada. Waste of money.

retailer sent a replacement copy and it was in excellent condition.

I love this movie! It's been over 20 years since I had last seen it so I ignored the message about the regions it will play in. It wouldn't work on my Sony Blue Ray, so I put it in my PC. It gave me the message about the regions and allowed me to change it so I could watch it. It worked fine. Since I was the only one who wanted to see it (chic flic) the small monitor wasn't a problem.
