First reviewed 2020; updated 2024 to endorse Longevity. Comparing this to the Vacmaster Beast 5 gal / 5.5 HP. My Applications - Shop at Work / Drill Press and Miter Saw debris - Office Copier, Printer and upholstered Chair / Dust Accumulation - Car / Carpets, Seats, Console, Dashboard - Traveling handyman projects, some generic, some volunteer work for hurricane recovery - Tennis Ball Machine / Ball Fuzz, Dust, Sand, Leaves including tight nooks & crannies - Household Projects / Everything floor vacuuming I also purchased the Ridgid Car Detailing kit, which I use for most everything because of maneuverability Vacmaster Beast FEROCIOUS suction, but too much of a good thing for car interiors and office; will scuff leather, vinyl, plastic YouTube reviews showing the Beast to outperform carwash systems are accurate Lid-to-Tub fit is sloppy, as noted by other reviewers; the 2 clips don't make a firm seal. Vacmaster needs to tighten up their manufacturing quality Ridgid Everything is WELL DESIGNED, EFFECTIVE and DURABLE (4+ yr so far); just pay attention to the filter Vacuum power is EXCELLENT and restrained for car and office applications; just exercise normal caution Absence of casters is an ASSET; the unit is very portable and maneuverable as is Recommendation: A Rubbermaid 18 gal. Rough Tote is the PERFECT carrier for EVERYTHING and makes the unit stackable when stored. Simply wrapping the hose around the handle like the cord is a tenuous perch (for the hose) Summary The Ridgid has VERY high design and manufacturing quality, and durability, with sweetspot power and maneuverability Strongly recommended for varied applications

Amazing suction power, gets down and dirty and easy to clean! It has nice attachments but could definitely use better ones. It’s a nice small machine but has strong power! I’d say worth it for the money if it had some more attachments

This vacuum is a life saver. It’s so easy to clean things when you have this tool. The suction is amazing and it’s not too heavy to carry.

This is a great shop vac. Lots of power. My only issue was that it did not came with a straight hard tube so one can vacuum standing up. Trying to find the hard tube was not easy or cheap. Wish this piece was suggested at the time of purchase.

Easiest to carry around. Long heavy duty hose and long cord. Plenty of suction power.

Compact low center of gravity vacuum with very strong suction. Tired of being aggravated with the poor performance of my other vacuum and it constantly falling over as I vacuum the car out. There are no wheels on this thing, but it slides across dirt and gravel without tipping. Stronger suction than the name brand ten gallon vacuum.

Rigid makes great products. Love my shop vac, wet or dry. Remember always remove the filter is using for wet clean up.

This is a no frills, no nonsense unit. It has powerful suction and is easy to carry. The 20' cord and 8' hose are very useful on the job site. I would recommend this unit for anyone, professional or casual user.
