Love This Converter
It works great for filling the pen with Permanent ink instead of using the cartridges which use water soluable ink. I fill it with Carbon Ink black color, Very easy to use.

Perfect!
I have a vintage Chalana, and was dealing with refilling my one cartridge. This converter is perfect. It is a push/pull piston style converter, which is different from my 1911 Standard (a twist style piston). Personally, I prefer the push style, as it makes the pen easier to fill. Something to watch for-it was a bit of a tight fit to put the converter on, but it feels sturdy, fits perfectly, and is there to stay in my pen.

good price on quality product
Sailor converters are well made but small capacity. They're easy to use and don't leak. This was well priced and an authentic Sailor product, nuff said.

They can easily be used with the converter
Be alert. There are two and perhaps 3 diameters of the Chalana nipple onto which this converter must fit. If you happen to have the largest one, be extremely careful. These pens are painted with some form of enamel. Next, there are the very inexpensive (if you can find them) pens that are all-plastic except for the nib. They can easily be used with the converter, but they are not pocket pens. They will break. Finally, there is a brushed (aluminum? stainless?) version that is the skinniest of all. I got a lot of leaking around the converter. Honestly, the converter holds so little ink that I would not encourage you to use it if you are willing to refill the cartridge with a syringe. Moreover, there are other tiny skinny pens that hold up better in daily use.

Works for the Sailor Fude Mannen pen
Bought this for my Sailor Fude Mannen pen and it works great. I was originaly thinking I can just fill it and then put it inside like the cartridges that came with the pen. Nope. There's no stopper. Once filled, must attach to pen or it leaks. Can't store it as a pen cartridge. Other than that, it's great. Just get a spice jar or a plastic jar to store your ink in and take it to go.

Fits slim Sailor pens - but holds very little ink
I got this for an older (plastic body) Sailor Chalana that is too narrow to take their standard converter, and it works like a charm - but I have to refill it every.single.day because it holds so little ink. (yes, even with the EF nib) reading the other reviews, I may just get some slim cartridges and deal with syringe filling them for regular use, and save this for when I want to use a colored or specialty ink.

an essential for sailor fountain pens
This fountain pen converter only fits the sailor brand fountain pens and does not emulate other fountain pen international cartridges. It is easy to use. You need to dip the nib into the ink when filling with this converter, as the mouth is too wide to fill the converter directly from the ink well without dripping. This reduces wear because you never install and uninstall the ink converter.
