Acadia Double Wall Insulated Travel Mug with Non-Slip Sleeve, Translucent Pink

I searched high and low for one simple thing: A mug I could microwave water in to make tea at my office. I do not have access to instant hot water from a coffee maker. I do not have a stovetop at work. I do have a microwave, but needed something that wasn't just "reheat" microwave safe; I need to microwave water for several minutes to nea boiling temperature. I bought a "microwave safe" ceramic mug from a local store and it was a complete bust! It got atomic hot in the microwave, too hot to even touch (I burned my hand!), let alone hold to drink! It honestly felt unsafe. Even after, pouring the water into another cup (with about 5 bunched up paper towelsinbetween me and the scalding cup surface), it remained hot to the touch for 30 more minutes.I am not a tea snob by any means. I don't need my tea hot for 6 hours. I don't need a cupt o tumble down a mountain and remain intact and leak free. I just need it to heat water hot enough to actually brew and to remain warm for the 20ish minutes I drink my tea.Behold, the solution to my problem: THIS MUG. It is VERY microwave safe. I heated water for 3 minutes and gingerly reached in to grab the cup (wary due to my previous experience) but the outside was NOT HOT AT ALL. The water inside though was boiling hot and bubbling! I am extremely impressed! The mug does get very slightly warm as it sits with the hot contents, but in a "hot chocolate on a cold day" kind of warmth, not a burn your hands kind. The lid screws on nicely and is clearly not meant to be "spill proof" but will definitely be "splash proof" for a short walk from the break room to my desk. I am confident if it was tipped over it would contain most of the spill as well.All in all definitely 10/10, and I might buy more colors for home or for gifts!

Been using these cups for YEARS. Love the teal & pink the most. No handles getting in the way. Dishwasher safe. PS: LIDS DO FIT JUST NEED TO MAKE SURE YOU SEAL THEM PROPERLY; CAN BE TRICKY AT TIMES

These cups keep the drink hot for a significant amount of time. They are the perfect size and weight. Love them!!!

I love the color of the cup, it keeps my coffee warm for a reasonable period of time. I bought this because I wanted a travel mug that was easy to clean, without lots of nooks and crannies that get gunked up with old coffee like many others do. I worried about it spilling because there is no cap on the hole where the coffee comes out, but if it is upright, it doesn't splash or spill. I do wish it had something to go over the hole though, one day I knocked it it over and coffee spilled out. But overall, it was a good purchase.

Bought this for my husband to replace his well-worn travel mug. Liked it doesn't have handles so it fits into the car holder. It is well made, holds heat well and he loves it. Would buy this again.

This cup is not worth the money. The lid will not stay on the cup. it will not tighten it pops off if you turn it to much . A total waste of money.

I have been using this cup for a few days now and it works great, it keeps my coffee warm for much longer than my old cup did. My only complaint is you can't seal where you drink from.

I love this cup!!! The color is just as advertised, a beautiful vibrant pink, the cup is well insulated and keeps my drink warm while keeping my hands cool. The lid is a little tricky to figure out but once you realize which way it twists and how far you have to twist it, it's great! Doesn't drip like some other cups, very sturdy, fits perfectly in a standard cup holder. I have received several compliments on it and have purchased 2 more for gifts. I will definitely purchase this item again, and this seller is excellent also. Speedy shipping and delivery!
