Good, I use it every day while welding
Great product, fits me well and I wear it under my hood every day while welding. Just make sure your helmet is big enough in the front to fit a respirator well. This thing is breathable and protects me from having black snot and cruddy lungs. Seals around my nose/mouth area fine. A bit heavy but as long as you adjust the straps so that it's being held up properly on your face, it isn't a problem.

Miller LPR100 small/medium
Fits great, very comfortable, works great if you spend a lot of time grinding/grinding paint, arc gouging, etc. like I do. Fits under a sugar scoop just perfect. Seals very well even over a face gaiter. Very lightweight, wont fog your safety glasses, and honestly it’s barely any harder to breath thru than open air. Can hardly even smell it when I burn paint. + I think it looks pretty cool. Save your lungs and get this thing.

is a fine product to use during welding
Miller Electric Half Mask Respirator Review The half mask respirator, from MIller Electric, is a fine product to use during welding, or any circumstance that may expose you to harsh chemicals or irritants. I am a welder, and I have been using this mask in conjunction with a welding mask and safety glasses. The fit is good, but my face is more slender than most. This product does have an adjustable strap so it should fit varying face sizes but one should be mindful when purchasing this product as it will be uncomfortable for anyone with a larger than average face. The quality of this mask is fairly robust as the synthetic rubber forms a good seal around the mouth and nose. The filters are also of high quality and should only need to be replaced once every two months or so with moderate usage, (30 minutes to an hour of continuous welding, 3 days out of the week). Due to the tight seal formed around the mouth and nose, air from your nose and mouth will not rise and fog up your safety glasses. As a welder this is extremely important during welding as monitoring the arc and bead flow is essential for creating a good weld. I’ve purchased many disposable respirators in hopes of holding back some irritants but in my experience they degrade during use, which is rather troublesome. This mask has completely eliminated that problem and I have been comfortably using it for over a year now. If you want to save your money, time and preserve your health; I recommend buying this mask

Fabulous - the best! (With one caveat)
As a woodworker I own a lot of different respirator types in what seems like a never-ending search for the elusive combination of effectiveness and comfort. This type is easily the best I have ever used and I could not recommend it more highly! Due to its HEPA filters it takes virtually all particles of concern out of the air, while still allowing very easy breathing. It is also highly comfortable and therefore easy to wear for long periods. It is light weight and comfortable. I must admit that my biggest concern when I ordered it was its small size, as I have a rather prominent nose, but as it turns out that is no problem. Alas, there is still one drawback to this respirator. When I am doing lathe work I wear a full face shield for safety. Because the exhaust on this mask is in the front center it has a tendency to fog the mask. I therefore wear a different respirator when turning wood, but switch back to this one for sanding. It is great!

Nice little mask. Fits well and does a great job.
I finally gave up on the cheap disposable masks and wanted to try something a little nicer. After reading reviews and looking around, I settled on this one. At first I was concerned about size (SM/MD vs MD/LG) and went with the SM/MD, which worked perfectly for both my wife and me. She spent a day using it while doing demo on tile and drywall, and says it worked well for her. I just spent a day in my wood shop, sanding, sawing, planing, and emptying my dust collector. It worked very well for me. Neither of us has problems with our safety glasses fogging up and it's much easier to breath with than the disposable ones, even those with a valve thingy on the front. We ordered a second one, so we each could be using one.

A good respirator.
As a paramedic, I have been using this instead of the N95 mask. It is small, light, safety glasses don't fog, and having it on for a better part of a 12 hour shift it's pretty comfortable. This respirator is easy to put on, take off, and clean. This is a great little mask and if your looking for one this is it.

What is this suppossed to be for?
Fit is very comfortable. Exhale valve works excellent. Material is high quality. I dont understand the intended purpose of this mask though. Advertised to fit under welding helmet, advertised to filter metal fumes. Based on this I thought this was a respirator that would filter harmful smoke. I can smell smoke through the mask, and it is not a fit problem. Are "metal fumes" different than smoke? I dont know. I'm sure it works great for particulate, dust etc, I wear it for that too. But i feel it is advertised as a welding respirator and it doesn't seem to be.It does fit good under my helmet, but when I wear my helmet I am welding (generating smoke) i dont wear my welding helmet to grind or cut something or sweep the floor... If I am misunderstanding something please let me know. Thanks.
