Slam Jam Rim

With all the wind storms this season, our ball goal has turned over 3 times and ruined our rim. We have bought this one twice for a replacement and it’s great. It never arrives damaged, packaged well with instructions which you really don’t need because it’s so easy to install. My teenage boys love it and I love the price. Great product.

After about ten years of regular outdoor use, our basketball goal steel braces ripped out of the plastic base causing the goal to smash on the concrete driveway on bend the rim out of shape. The original rim was made of solid steel, so even with such force, it only got bend a little out of shape, but we were not able to bend it back to be perfectly round. We were able to repair the plastic base using steel fender washers to put the steel braces back in place. We were glad that we were able to find a replace rim, equipped with a single spring, which fitted perfectly on our Huffy goal. Also, this rim is solid steel like the original rim.

I work overseas on a military base. In March we got word that we'd be locked down for the entire summer, so we started making plans to maintain our sanity. Ordered extra decks of cards but needed something to blow off steam while keeping away from everyone else. I ordered this and with some old pipes, a tire rim, and a couple of sheets of plywood, we built a regulation backboard and now we can shoot hoops whenever we want on the privacy of our own corner of the airfield. This thing is built sturdy, though none of us are doing any dunking or anything. But our makeshift stand and backboard has blown over in the wind several times, but other than a couple of scratches, nothing on the rim. I'm totally happy with this thing!

I needed a new rim and this was one of the cheapest ones I could find. It looks nice and works well as a simple rim, but don't be decieved by the pictures into thinking this is a flex rim. I have found virtually no give in this rim, so if you want something like that, this is not for you. Personally, I didn't need a rim with give, so I am thrilled with this product. Price was right and the quality high!

One of my boys decided to dunk on our previous court using his 6' 3" 225 body and bent the metal on the court. I purchased this item on Monday and it arrived Tuesday :). It took me about 10 minutes to put it up and all the kids love it. It is very sturdy and built well.

After a storm blew over our hoop, we needed a new rim. This exactly matched the original rim from our Spalding mobile hoop. Installation was simple with the included instructions. Sadly, I can no longer blame a bent rim for my losses in HORSE.

Just received this today and installed tonight. Replaced an old broken rim. Had it installed in about 10 minutes. if you have an impact gun you'll make quick work of it. The rim is very well made and there is the attachment (which you don't have to use) that gives the rim flex. The rim definitely flexes just like in the picture if you install it correctly. Just make sure you orientate the metal parts correctly and only tighten the spring until the screw is flush with the bolt. It says/shows all this clearly in the manual. Do all this correctly and the rim will flex when you pull down on it. Want more flex? Loosen the nut. Want less ... tighten it. It comes with net, generic one, you can buy better ones, but it does the job. Overall, great rim. Very pleased with it.

This hoop arrived and exceeded my expectations. It’s heavy with solid welds and NO pits in the paint which allow rust to start. Quality bolts and nylon net included. My experience with imported products has often been disappointing/ frustrating. Not so in this case. Order with confidence.
