Tao Kae Noi Original Hi-Tempura Seaweed 40 g

Bought as a gift

I was only going to try a packet of these; I bought a few so my family could try them as well - you know, being thoughtful and whatnot. Unfortunately, nobody else managed to get even a passing glimpse of one of these little puffs of crispy goodness because something happened to me when I took a bite - I don’t know what exactly but I suspect demonic possession - and suddenly I was surrounded by empty packets, my body now at least 82% seaweed snack, and I was so full I could barely breathe. Of course this is very much a me kind of problem. If you’re a normal, human person you’ll probably have a packet, think “oh how nice I’ll purchase that again” and then go about your day. So, yes these are great. A little bit salty, a little bit crunchy, and a whole lot of tasty. I’m just not allowed to be left alone with more than one packet now.

I used to buy these years ago from Tesco as a treat but they’ve sadly been discontinued. Completely forgot about them til I spotted them on an Asian snack website. Not wanting to spend £5 on a bag, I checked Amazon and so pleased to find them at the price I paid at the supermarket! These little crispy snacks are so addictive, I’m not even ashamed to admit I wolfed down an entire packet in one sitting. They’re probably a bit of an acquired taste - dried seaweed on batter/cracker. They taste prawny with a small hit of chilli, so incredibly moreish. Will be ordering more in future!

I bought these thinking they were the sesame tempura ones which are my absolute favourite but these are still nice. Just wish they weren't so expensive because I ate all 4 packets in 1 day... they are about the same price as in my local Asian supermarket though so could just get off my bum and by them from there.

I recently discovered tempura seaweed after enjoying the ‘plain’ sea weed sheet snacks for years, and I shared my enthusiasm and delight at how amazing it is with my family. They’ve all tried it, and are converts. We’ve all been ordering loads of packs since! As well as a great snack on its own, It’s a great addition in a noodle dish - I highly recommend trying it - just don’t order it all as I want there to be some for my next order! ;)

These are seaweed sheets coated in tempura seasoned with garlic powder and white pepper. They really wont be for everyone and i'd say in the UK its more of a niche market. If you're trying to decide if you will even like them, well do you like seaweed? if not then no you wont. You could say these taste a little prawny too. Again if you don't like the taste of prawns these probably wont appeal to you. I personally thought they were just ok but after eating just a couple at a time the prawny taste can get a bit too much then i feel like i need to brush my teeth. Not something i would personally buy again.

The best snack I've ever tasted for sure but you guys are similar to "walkers" where you are almost selling air 😫 Please make a LARGE pack! Would love to have a bigger bag that is fuller. Other than that, honestly, I'll continue to buy these on subscribe and save just based on the incredible flavour. Good job 👏

So. Damn. Tasty! I had never heard of these, until amazon suggested them.. So Thankyou Amazon! Had no real idea what to expect, and im not sure how to describe the flavour or texture.. but the short version is.. every thing about these is PERFECT! Shall be buying more, and going to try topping them on noodles. Delivery was near instant, product is mindblowing, price could be considered high for how much you get and how long they last.. but im more than happy to pay it! Try em!

Abseits der "normalen" Kartoffelchips sind diese Tempura Seaweed Chips wirklich lecker. Bei einem einmaligen Kauf wird es sicherlich nicht bleiben.

These are slightly spicy but a great size for snacking. I don't finish a whole bag in one sitting but others might.
