Solenoid works
When I received my package the box was damaged inside of the envelope. The solenoid was rolling around the envelope but luckily wasn't damaged. After installing the solenoid twice I had some issues hooking it in the starter but finally got it. And it works good. Hopefully will last

Affordable and Reliable Solenoid for 1987 John Deer 165 Hydro
If you're having trouble starting your tractor and don't want to purchase a whole new starter, this solenoid is the perfect solution. I have a 1987 John Deer 165 hydro. When I went to start my tractor from winter storage, it wouldn't fire up. I used screwdriver to start for a few days and was sick of doing that. This solenoid was exactly what I needed. The installation process took about 20 minutes, and the solenoid immediately fixed my starter issue. It's a great price for such a simple fix. Just make sure to disconnect the battery completely before installing it on your motor. It's been installed for about two months now, and I've had consistent, easy starting ever since. I highly recommend this product to anyone who needs a reliable and affordable solution for their starter issues.

Works good
Replaced solenoid on John Deere Gator 560e. Fit as should and cranked up just like new machine. Seems to be good product and much much less than solenoid from dealer. Thanks

No good out of the box

Easy to install
We had issues with our JD 175 garden tractor and my husband traced it to the solenoid. Ordered this one and he installed it in no time. Machine works great now!!

Great fix JD X720
Simple installation and MUCH less expensive than replacing the whole starter like John Deere recommended. Update: Changed from 5 stars to 1 star. Worked great for about 10 starts. Now have to tap with a hammer to get the starter to spin.

Good quality, exactly what I needed

Fit my JD LX280 perfectly. I had been trying to change the battery cables and the positive one was corroded pretty badly to the solenoid bolt which then snapped off. Can't remove it so a replacement solenoid was necessary. Fraction of the cost of a JD OEM part so I'm glad it worked.
