Lars Own - Dried Yellow Peas, 18oz

As a vegetarian and avid home cook, I try to find ways to add protein and fiber to my cooking and these peas contribute both and happen to be tasty as well. The do require a long soak and a long cooking time if you do not have a pressure cooker (I don’t have one, they scare me), so you likely won’t use them during busy times. But when you do have the time, these peas cook beautifully with a rich flavor and perfect creamy texture. You have to like legumes, of course, but if you do these make excellent soups and comfort food dals. I recommend this brand for consistently good product. I don’t think I’ve found more that a few bad beans and shells ever.

I ordered the peas in good faith, only to find that the flimsy inner cellophane pack was ripped, and the peas were spilled all over the outer packaging. Peas were probably fine, but not the packaging.

We Love the peas but sorry to say we Never got it! It was never delivered

I purchase this item thinking it was a large quantity because of the price. Well it’s 18 oz and of course it not returnable so I’m stuck with this product ☹️ I’m not sure how they taste but I will find out. My phone is the same size as the package. $14 smh
