Kaytee All Natural Timothy Hay Plus Cranberries For Guinea Pigs, Rabbits & Other Small Animals, 24 Ounce

I have three guinea pigs at home, one mine, one sanctuary and one foster. They are hungry boars and love hay very much. I normally buy the 50lb boxes of Oxbow Timothy Hay but I was running extremely low and the boys would be without hay for a day if I didn’t get some in. This hay is great quality. It is clean, no dirt or weeds. It is chopped, which gives it a texture different from whole hay. It makes it easier to pick out favorite pieces which may be a downfall for some picky babies as they may waste it. I checked through it and there is a good balance if thicker base stalk, softer tops and hay heads. In fact, this hay is stuffed with hay heads. The “flavors” are a handful of dried items on the top of each bag. They hay smells really nice and fresh and the dried flowers, carrots and spearmint add nice smell. Price wise, this stuff is SO expensive compared to what I normally buy. For a One Day one off shipment, a great price. For feeding the monchie boys regularly, not great on the wallet. Comparing per ounce price, this hay is .30 Cents per ounce compared to .05 cents for the 50lb Oxbow. I don’t see buying this unless an emergency situation, because even the amount of added topping isn’t enough to make it super special like a treat.

This is the best hay for my guinea pig. It’s cheaper to order on Amazon for a bigger pack than to get it in the store at Walmart. Definitely worth it.

My fur baby’s new favorite hay! I buy these quite often and have never been disappointed. Great price, quality and quantity. When I opened the bag I was surprised by all the pieces of cranberry in it. I’ve been trying all the different types of hay to find out which is his favorite and so far it’s this, carrot of course and marigold. I always keep all three so I can mix it up for him so he’s not always having to eat the same thing every day. He loves them! Highly recommend!!

OMG best timothy grass for my guinea pigs!! It was the greenest and had the flowery thingys that they like (sorry don’t know what they called) 🫣, I especially liked the pieces of 🥕 carrots. I bet they did too. Unfortunately, this bag is too small and too expensive. They went through it within a week.

I'm amazed that my rabbit has already gone through one bag in about 6 weeks so I have another order on the way. Rabbits are supposed to eat mostly hay supplemented by greens, small amounts of kibble (I feed her Oxbow Bunny Basics adult -NO alfalfa) and occasional treats. Last visit to the vet they said she was "a wee bit round" and that we needed to cut waaaaay back on the kibble. not a popular change but as a result she eats more hay and it's healthier and cheaper it turns out as the kibble is expensive and now lasts a lot longer. In the past it was hard to find any hay that she would eat at all maybe because of freshness or her taste is changing since she is maturing haha - 3 years old this spring and very healthy!!!! I found a hit with Zupreem which by the way is certified chemical free and seems to always be fresh but it was to expensive with shipping last time around so I decided to try the Kaytee since it's labled chemical free and the marigolds seemed like a nice addition - also a much bigger bag for less $ and free shipping with prime - I was concerned it would stay fresh long enough since I have one Rabbit but to my surprise she went through this bag of hay faster than any of the smaller ones from other brands I've purchased in the past so Kaytee Timothy it is!!!!

Apparently I’m allergic to this. Great product for the rabbits but I wasn’t expecting to be allergic being I’m usually not allergic to hay? My throat swelled upThe rabbits enjoyed it tho

Because my guinea pig loved this hay I wanted to get a larger supply so ordered a humongous package of hay from another company! Big mistake! Not only too much hay but my guinea pig did not like it. So, I went back to Amazon and ordered 2 of these packages of hay, which were the original hay that my guinea pig liked. This hay is, to me, a great quality, easy to manage and guinea pig really loves it. I had no idea that there were different 'Timothy hays' as I thought Timothy was Timothy! There is a big difference in this hay that he likes from the other which is harder to handle than this particular Timothy. Just noticed that the title of this: Kaytee Alll nAtural Timothy Plus Marigolds. ... MY package's ingredients state that this package is Timothy plus spearmint leaves! I guess the spearmint makes the difference being added to top quality Timothy hay.

Purchased for my bunny darling and she loves it! We go through this stuff. It’s easy to get out of the bag too, doesn’t stick to the hay behind it!
