"Continued Story" is definitely not as good as i thought it would be
The thing about the CD is that I only bought it for "HI, How Are You" because two CDs in one for cheap, of course I'd take that deal. However, "Continued Story" is definitely not as good as i thought it would be. I still very much enjoyed " Hi, How Are You". So if you purchase this don't expect "Continued Story" to be the masterpiece that "Hi, How Are You" is

A true artist
It's not well recorded, the notes aren't all in tune, but Daniel Johnston is just pure artistic genius

Daniel Johnston Lives
I read the couple of reviews about this CD before purchasing it. I think that it has a "nostalgic air" to it. I would not give it 5 star but I have been captivated by Daniel Johnston lyrics and music. His performance of the songs on this CD are very rough. I have seen a few YouTube.com performances of his where he sings with a band live. I think these are much better versions of the songs than the ones on the CD. Don't let this stop you from purchasing this CD however. It's a good introduction to Dan Johnston music. It's been interesting getting to know who Daniel is as an music artist. I would buy the CD again.

Perfect reissue
Remaster sounds superb. The packaging is amazing so make sure purchase it new. I made the mistake of purchasing it used twice and it was missing both times. Also disregard the review saying beware of reissue. I did an A/B comparison of both and this is the absolute best continued story has ever and probably will ever sound and hi how are you is better than the original release. The previous reviewer is accurate with the fact they used noise reduction. They did seem to use such a tiny amount of noise reduction that the casual listener would not notice and it has no ngeative effect or deters the listening experience and it still sounds 99% comparitable to the original Homestead release. With headphones, I heard things in the soundscape of continued story that I had never heard before. The Yup/Jump music reissue which is an incredible album also has amazing packaging and sounds the best it ever has too. Both highly reccommended. Another amazing reissue is the Daniel Johnston "Artistic Vice" on High wire. The bonus tracks on that release are completely different songs from one the ones found on the album that were recorded around that time period(some are very rare tracks sourced from vinyl singles and all sound great. Seek it out if its not available anywhere on here. All the reissues on high wire or hihowareyou.com sound great though. Enjoy!!!

Johnston Is Pitiful
Back in the '80s, the mentally ill Daniel Johnston got adopted as a "genius" by the Austin weekly paper. (And then in the '90s, Kurt Cobain wore a T-shirt with Johnston's logo, which gave him some alt credibility.) Johnston is pitiful. The songs on this CD are like something your drug-addled teen would come up with in the basement of your home. (Surprise! Once Johnston left his home for Austin, he did too much LSD and was thereafter in and out of mental hospitals. His very-patient parents had to live with him for the rest of his life.)

Apart from the big brown, I assume (and hope), tea stain on the front cover (which was never mentioned for some reason...), everything seems to work fine.
