Excellent product, Well worth the money
If you love HOT intense Cinnamon then look no further! This is an Excellent product, well worth the money! It was delivered in swift and timely manner! *Sweet and EXTREMELY HOT, the way cinnamon is suppose to taste but BE WARNED; this oil is NOT your store bought over the counter extract, this is the real thing so handle with EXTREME care and caution especially when using this around the kids and/or pets who love to be in the kitchen when the cooking is going on, like my doggy does. YES IT WILL BURN you like no other. After my first use unbeknownst to me and several minutes later I could tell that several tiny dots sprayed up on my face from the eye dropper when moments later, boy could I feel it, and don't even try to rub it off, all you can do is let it wear off which took about 15 or so minutes of gritting my teeth and no amount of water will take it off either as it's an oil -- thank goodness I wear glasses or we'd be having a different conversation. Trust me, Mace spray has nothing on this! So as this product does NOT come with a childs safety cap on it is IMPERATIVE that you KEEP this product OUT of the REACH OF LITTLE ONES!! A l s o when using this product, use only glass or metal measuring spoons or a glass eye dropper -- no plastics and possibly some gloves and some goggles are a great idea; Yes it's that intense, again, I cannot emphasis this enough, that's how strong this product is, it should've come with a warning label and a child safety cap, seriously! I also observed that some of the potency is gone after you cook with it at least in the cookies it was. I made some Snickerdoodles and was surprised that the heat didn't translate as well as I was expecting, but not to worry, I placed one tiny drop of the cinnamon oil onto each cookie, works great, but check with the ones your making the cookies for, they may not like the intense flavor or the heat. And though this oil is rather *sweet you may need to pull back from what the recipe calls for on the sugar just a bit as well! Do a test cookie before you commit the entire bowl of batter to the oven. I'll be experimenting with this oil much further but first I will attempt to melt down some Jolly Ranchers Cinnamon candies or decide to make my own candied version and add some of this oil to crank up the heat a bit. A n d as an added bonus, I will add a drop or two into some Vodka to see how that'll taste! Would love to see the recipes people can come up with using this product, will have to Google it. In conclusion; I Will definitely buy this Great product again, though I"m sure that using only a tiny amount from an eye dropper it won't be for a while! If you're looking for a very intense cinnamon flavor that truly delivers then I highly recommend this one! Cheers and Bon Appetit

Amazing Quality Cinnamon Leaf Oil!
BOY, did this exceed my expectations! I bought this bottle of pure cinnamon leaf oil hoping that it would be an easy way to infuse a little more of that cinnamon flavor I so love into the foods I already enjoy. When I received this, I thought I'd first try adding some to a serving of vanilla yogurt. It was simply AMAZING! And I added only a SINGLE DROP; it's truly astonishing how potent this oil is! Other reviewers clearly weren't exaggerating their claims about quality and potency of this product! A word about quantity/potency. I ordered the 4oz bottle. Even though I've been adding this to all kinds of foods, I've only been using probably 1-3 drops at a time, due to its incredible potency. At this rate, I imagine this bottle lasting me quite some time! An interesting thing I noticed is that this products lends a certain "sweetness" to anything to which it's added. While it's not "sweet" in the sugary sense, the sweet cinnamony flavor it lends to foods is quite delightful! (at least for those like me who love cinnamon flavor) The only "complaint" I have is that this bottle did not come with a dropper. As strong as this stuff is, I don't plan to be using more than a few drops at a time, and a dropper would have been a really nice addition. Fortunately, I had a dropper from another bottle of the same size that I was able to use with this, and it's been working perfectly. I will definitely be buying this product again!!

Great Product - Brings Back Memories
I've been retired for a little over 4 years now. When I was in grade school, we used to go down to the local pharmacy and buy "Pure cinnamon Oil" and would soak toothpicks in it overnight. These "Hot Toothpicks" got hotter as you sucked on them. I saw a write-up recently where some folks were using them to control smoking and for weight loss. Well, I quit smoking 17 years ago, but I sure could use some help with weight loss. I went to my local Rite-Aid pharmacy, but they said they no longer carry cinnamon oil but that I could buy it in the "Spices" section of any supermarket. They were wrong! you can get Cinnamon EXTRACT, but that's just for cinnamon flavoring when you are making baked goods or candy. I wanted the Hot Stuff, the Pure Cinnamon Oil, and that's exactly what I got when I ordered the 8 oz bottle of it from Olive Nation, using Amazon.com. It works so well that I ordered a larger bottle, the 16 oz version the next time I needed to get some more. BE VERY CAREFUL IF YOU HAVEN'T EVER USED THIS CINNAMON OIL, OR IF IT HAS BEEN AWHILE SINCE YOU'VE USED IT ---you can burn your lips and tongue if you are not careful. YES, I know this from experience! My suggestion is to start small ---- put several toothpicks in the oil for six hours. Take them out and let them air-dry (caution: don't dry them on paper or cloth towels or the towels will absorb much of the oil.) I dry them on mosquito netting. Try those. If that's not hot enough, double the soaking time. I normally leave mine in for 72 hours, then dry them for 48 hours. I've also found out that the flat toothpicks absorb better / quicker than the round ones. But you can chew on the round ones longer before they start to splinter. --- Good luck!

Smells and tastes great. I'm adding cinnamon oil to my food to keep my sugar cravings in check - using it as a tool for weight loss, along with a healthy diet, drinking plenty of water and exercising regularly. It didn't come with a dropper and the flavor is strong, so I'll be buying a dropper for the bottle.

I tried using ground cinnamon as well as cinnamon bark to make cinnamon-flavoured coffee (which is delicious), but I thought I'd give this a try. The cinnamon taste of this oil (which comes from cinnamon leaves, not from the bark as one might expect) is extremely strong and aromatic, spicy and slightly sweet, and what I would consider to be a good cinnamon flavour. Using an eyedropper (not included), I add around 5 drops to the ground coffee prior to brewing. This is so much better than using ground cinnamon with its annoying ground cinnamon sludge, or cinnamon bark which requires a long steep time in order to impart enough cinnamon flavour, lets me control the strength of the cinnamon flavour easily. Note: One thing I would like to know is what kind of cinnamon leaf is used (ceylon or cassia). This is not specified on the package.

Bottle arrived safely packaged. Opened and there is the distinct cinnamon smell. This was purchased to try and get rid of ants in my basement, as cinnamon leaf oil was suggested as a natural deterrent. Only time will tell if it is effective at all. Take note that this product's label indicates that it is "for consumption", but also claims "keep away from pets and children", so not sure if it is safe for cooking and baking or not. I suggest clarifying that before trying to ingest any.
