This filter system is awesome! I replaced my old filter that was the same canister type. I drink a lot of bottled water besides having a filter on my tap because the bottle water always tasted better to me. This new filter here makes my tap water taste bright,crisp and just as good as the best bottled water I've tried. This system comes with a quality filter cartridge included. It looks nice and upscale. The connector to the faucet has twice as much water flow than my old unit. This filter system also has twice the flow coming out from the filter side into the glass. A good low cost countertop filtration system that provides good tasting tap water. The system is relatively easy to assemble, but the directions need work. For one, make the print larger so a magnifying glass is not required to read the instructions. Secondly, provide accurate information for the installation of the filter. I read two different filter installation procedures, the one provided with the system and another from the company's website and both were different. The Installation Manual procedure instructs you to "*PLACE THE FILTER WITH THE BLACK CARBON SIDE POINTING DOWN. However, there is no black carbon side. The Users Manual procedures instruct you to "PLACE THE GAC FILTER WITH THE ARROW POINTING UP" and there is no arrow on the filter. I also purchased a replacement filter and I didn't see a black carbon side or arrows on that filter. Since that filter can only be installed one of two ways, my personal opinion is that it doesn't matter how it is installed.

L-O-V-E this! Water in west Texas is awful. Buying cases of bottled water to cook and drink weekly adds up. Not to mention I’m not as young so lugging 5 gallon bottles in the house puts a strain on your body, especially in the Winter. This countertop filtration system is a life saver! Enclosed instructions are for young eyes. I viewed a YouTube video and in less than 5 minutes clean, fresh tasting water was available. A friendly tip, be gentle when screwing the cap on the unit and when changing the faucet housing. It took me twice to get the installation to not leak. If the unit leaks unscrew it and gently screw back. Thanks Amazon for having this at a very reasonable price.

I was living in the South of Florida for 42 years living on well water. That stuff smelled bad and was sometimes cloudy, and sometimes ya could see particles floating in it most of the time. This water filtration Gizmo is very similar to the one I needed down there. It kept the water clean and clear with no smell at all.
