For Horse-Crazy Girls Only: Everything You Want to Know About Horses

A simple plain language book about horses. It explains all the horse lingo including difference between bays and chestnuts etc. geared toward younger kids( 10 years & up) I use it as a go to if I hear a term I’m not familiar with. A must for any equine enthusiast.

I purchased this book for my 7 year old Grand daughter. I was lucky enough to be able to help read it to her. She loved the cards and templates. There is a lot factual material which was understandable to her. (She also read to me) She is totally horse mad at the moment and seems to be building up a horse mad group at school. (I think the parents may have second thoughts, when they get this "demand" for their own horse) The book has activities, jokes, special cards to send messages to friends in class. She takes it to bed, and her parents unwrap her hands from it when she goes to sleep. I would recommend this book highly. For a grandfather who does not visit the children as often as he would like, it is often difficult to find the "perfect" gift. For me this was one.

I got this for my 12-year-old granddaughter. I had bought her the Illustrated Book of Horses of North America which she loved but wanted something that told her more things about horses in general. I had been talking to her about the difference in fillies, mares, foals, colts, geldings, studs, etc and so much more. I had shown her where a horse's blind spots are, how they see, etc and just tried to fill her in on everything I could think of that she needed to know. This book does that. It's better than having me talk to her. She can read all these things and go back and refresh her memory anytime. I thought it might be a bit below her age range​, but it has a lot of info packed into such a small book that the writing style is actually very appropriate. I read it myself before giving it to her and thoroughly enjoyed it.

If your daughter loves horses, she will love this book. My daughter is 9 and she went through this book in just a couple of days. She loved all of the info and I love that it was an age appropriate book, not one for little kids and it also wasn't over her head with a lot of words. Any uncommon words are defined in the book for the kids which is awesome.

This book was purchased for 2 Sisters who have been bitten by the horse bug. After scanning the pages and the information contained inside the book, this is the book that will make them better horse ladies.

Oh this is a beautiful book for any girl that likes or is interested in horses. There is lots of information on horses (education, information and fun) and even some fun (and really easy!) recipes for both girls and horses! This is an ideal book or gift for any child involved with horses or that just has a new interest. I would say the perfect age for this book is 8/9 years up to about 12 years, maybe a little older even. Hard back book. Would recommend all day!

This book is awesome for all ages!! Even the boys have liked reading it. I made horse treats from A recipe in this book they were a really kick with the horses.

I brought this for my 9 year old daughter and she loves this it’s full of horse facts and pieces of tack I even want to read it myself ! I would recommend for any age horse crazy girl as the book says.cheap nice long read for any age any gender just overall good book
