THESE VMAZTANKS ARE THE BEST I'VE EVERSEEN!
Todays date 4/27/21In April of 2020, I purchased two if these batteries to wire for 12 volt use in my travel trailer. Earlier, I had used 4 - 6 volt regular, deep cycle batteries on my travel trailer. Those were larger in size and the weight of four of those batteries is about 1/3 heavier then two of these Vmaxtanks 6 volt units. Yes, these Vmaxtanks are quit heavy for their size but, here's what I have found after using just two in my travel trailer for several extended trips.Beginning with a full charge (about 12 .5 - .8 volts, I have been set-up "dry camped" for two days, used regular lighting within the unit (all LED), as well as the radio and then T.V. watching videos for 3 1/2 hours per night, served through a VCR, powered by a 400 watt inverter. Now, after 2 days and evenings of this kind of use, I still was reading my voltage of 12 volts! This was never the case with the reg. 4 battery regular power bank! They would have been down to 11 .1 - .2 volts at best! Another time, I connected my 200 watt (combined) solar panels to recharge these Vmaxtanks after one day's/night's use (at that point, my volt meter was still registering 12 .2 volts) and with only that 200 watt charging ability, for about 5-6 hours, my pair of Vmaxtanks were right back up to 12 .6 - .7 and more than ready to serve my evening's entertainment. It's stated that these units carry a 10 year warranty. Well, I've only used my two for several 2 to 5 day trips and can't be more pleased. I not new to batteries for elect. power. I lived "off the Grid" for years and used a large battery bank so, I have considerable knowledge of deep cycle units and using solar panels to charge them.Don't ever think you should use 12 volt deep cycle units for things like this. Two of these 6 Volt units wired properly to create 12 volt output, will ALWAYS beat ANY 4 - 12 VOLT BATTERIES, WIRED AS 12 VOLT OUTPUT! 6 VOLT UNITS WIRED TO CREAT 12 VOLTS IS THE ONLY WAY TO GO. JUST THINK WHAT "DEPTH" YOU WOULD HAVE OF YOU HAD A BANK OF 4 - 6 VOLT UNITS WIRED-UP TO OUTPUT 12 VOLTS!These Vmaxtanks are fantastic! You'll love them. WELL WORTH THE COST!Rodger CarmelArazona

VMAXTANKS dual 6v is great for solar and boondocking!
Bought two for a series 12V 225AH DC system. When they arrived the packaging was some what damaged but the batteries were fine. Have worked flawlessly. I keep them charged and maintained with either the VMAX 20A charger or 400 watts of solar through a 20A Renogy MPPT charge controller. AC to the VMAX charger is via shore power or portable generator. These are the first AGM batteries I've purchased or ever owned and I am totally satisfied with them. Their performance has been consistent and superb in my camper in low temperature conditions which is when I use them the most for running a 12V heated mattress pad, LED lighting, device charging, and a 400 watt inverter for my laptop. Why 6V golf cart batteries? There are three 2.1v cells in the 6-volt battery. The 6-volt battery has more space per cells and the plates are thicker and will last longer. The 6 volt will be able to discharge deeper than any 12-volt deep cycle. Two 6 volt batteries will give you a lot higher amperage than one 12V battery. AGM batteries? Leading advantages of AGM are a charge that is up to FIVE times faster than the flooded version. AGM offers a depth-of-discharge of 80 percent; the flooded, on the other hand, is specified at 50 percent DoD to attain the same cycle life. The AGM battery is also able to be installed in any orientation and stand up well to very LOW TEMPERATURES.

Best deal on Amazon
I added 2 more 24v strings to my home back up system, I chose Vmaxtanks since they are the military's prefered battery. They came with a manufacturing date 3 months old and carry an amazing Amp Hour rating, and came fully charged.Think about it this way, a lithium battery has a BMS Battery Management System which will fail under solar flare or EMP. An AGM will withstand a dozen and keep on working. That's why the Military will not go lithium and ONLY VMAXTANKS.....Get the picture..?

Lasted almost 3 years so far!!
We purchased 2 VMAXTANKS to install as part of getting started with solar in our RV in July of 2018. We live full time with these and have for 2-1/2 years now with these as our off-grid power source. We have found them great for all intended purposes. We have used them both on and off-grid. Meaning when the power goes out we never even know it. For the money they are worth it. I have also helped other full timers using the Vmax family of batteries installed for their solar set-up.When these die, if they do, we will be looking into the Vmax family again but will be going Lithium.NOPE! I am not getting paid to say this. Nor was I given anything. Just an honest guys opinion as a full time Rv'er. Hope this is helpful.

1 out of 9 was faulty
I originally purchased 4 of these to make one 24 volt solar battery. Six or so months later, I purchased another 4 to double our battery storage. I charged each individually and hooked them up to our bank with a bus bar. But the strangest thing happened. We didn’t get much of any additional storage. I wasn’t until I upgraded to lithium that charged each individually again and realized one battery wouldn’t hold a charge for long. So the whole time I was running 4 batteries instead of eight.I did purchase one more battery, because I set up a shed solar system and had 7 good batteries.Essentially, these are good batteries when they work. But one bad apple out of 9 purchased would be enough for me to look elsewhere if I were start all over again.
