Great Idea, Be Careful not to Drill a Hole thru your Hull.
Looks like a good product and it is housed in a very robust case with sound absorbing materials. Some reviews say that the pump fittings need to be sealed with teflon tape. I can see where any kind of leakage would fill the case up with water and take out the time/controller. So…..I am drilling two weep holes into the case to prevent this and allow for water drainage should the pump fittings leak a bit. Fortunately this system uses an “ off the shelf” timer module which is available on Amazon for only $9. I have one in stock from a previous project, part number is CN101A. From what I can see, this is the only thing that would fail due to the case filling with water. The pump is also readily available off the shelf from Amazon. I’m excited to try this, and even if I had to replace it every year or two, it would be well worth it. Wet bilges suck and cause a lot of damage. The water pick up is a heavily weighted module but can be mounted with screws, but BEWARE! Depending on your boat’s design, you could easily drill a hole right through the hull when putting in the screws. I’m going to let mine just rest in the bilge without any restraints for the time being. Might glue some blocks down to keep it corralled…will post back here after a month or two of use.

Internal Water Leaks abound! Installed two! Both failed
For some reason I decided after 33 years of boating with water in my bilge... aghast....Bought two.. one for Engine room and forward bilge... Installed both in the engine room... ran the hose to each suction side... everything rocks! Here's where BOTH UNITS Failed... they convert internally on the output from 1/4 line... I think to 3/8... then output at 3/8 on the output. OK... BUT both internal adapters failed. Outside the fittings don't tighten without taking off the whole cover. I'm now buying new 1/4 hose to run from the motor all the way out. And... as a trick... I put a ice maker self-piercing saddle valve on a sink drain... connected the 1/4 line and voila... didn't have to deal with hoses and anti siphon valves etc...

Does what it says
One first unit had a broken quick connect fitting, most likely due to shipping. The the second one came in no time and worked great..the switch installation wasn't the easiest due to poor instructions but multi-meter saved the day. Overall, good product. Very good timer.

Everything I have ever bought from SeaFlo has failed! This is cheap junk.
This thing is just a $20 diaphragm pump with a crappy timer, apparently taken from a sprinkler timer. Despite being shock-mounted and having sound-absorption matting inside, it's still pretty loud; much louder than my fresh water pump. NOT A REAL WARRANTY! It worked well for a few months, then the pump motor died. I've been trying to contact SeaFlo for 3 weeks by phone (left messages) and email and I never get a response back except the automated "we'll get back to you" email.

UPDATED: Manual has the two wires incorrect, instructions are incorrect, and bad hose connection
Update: 4 months later: The pump died. After four months of turning on twice a day to pump down a small bilge pocket that always got wet, the pump died. Hard. I couldn't fix it. Overall, the bad manual, the mislabeled wires, and the bad hose connection took this three star rated junk to a one star. I don't recommend using this. I bought the parts separately and made a new one for under $60 with a cheap pump, cheap programmable switch, and some home depot tubing. Overall, this is one of the worst things I have bought for my boat from a company that I have, in the past, respected and trusted. I hope I don't run in to other issues with their other products because I have a lot of them on my boat. :/ So this thing does a good job at what it designed to do - pump small amounts of water out of the bilge. Once installed, it worked well. First, there are three wires: a black wire (ground/negative), a brown wire and a brown wire with a stripe. The manual says, "Brown wire - manual function. Brown wire with stripe - automatic functions." It then includes a diagram that shows the brown wire going to the "manual" blade on the back of the switch and the brown with stripe going to the "automatic" blade on the switch. THIS IS BACKWARDS! I troubleshot for about 20 minutes because every time I flipped the switch the unit would turn on regardless of time or programming. I reversed those two wires and viola! It worked. C'mon Seaflo, I expect your instructions to AT LEAST be right on ALL products regardless if they are new or not. Next, The 1/2" hose connector is threaded on to a connector. The barbed connector didn't have a rubber seal and there was no thread tape on the female side. That meant it couldn't mate and make a water tight seal. So when I turned it on and it started pumping water leaked all over the place. However, a simple solution: a rubber O-ring and some thread tape. The last major issue: The programming instructions are wrong! After you go through the steps to program times it says, "Press the P button until the current time is displayed." You can't. If you keep pressing the P button it just keeps cycling through the 16 programmable memory slots. Instead, when you're done programming, just stop pressing buttons. It'll go back to displaying the current time in about 10 to 20 seconds. So to the engineers: Freaking correct your manual for the wiring, that's an unforgivable mistake and, if you'd made that mistake on a different wire or on a different piece of equipment, could have ended up with my getting seriously hurt! Also, it almost made me rip the whole thing out and send it back to you. Make the female threads from the pump box to the 1/2" barbed connector longer so they will seal tight. Or add a small O-ring and some thread tape when you're putting the thing together. And correct your instructions on programming. This is just a stupid mistake. I've got a lot less faith in this thing now that I know the manual should have failed QC, but didn't. I wonder what else QC failed to check... We'll see how she does over the next couple of years.

It sucks out every last drop.

J'ai été surpris de constater qu'après utilisation il restait seulement l'équivalent d'une cuillère à soupe d'eau dans la cale. Cela aide grandement à réduire l'humidité et les odeurs désagréables
