Great!
This speaker sounds great and the quality is awesome too! I did have some cosmetic issue with the speaker which lead me to contact the seller and they took care of the issue immediately. I would definitely purchase this item and others from this seller!

I have this speaker in another Princeton and it works well in that amp.

Amazing speaker
Totally cleans up ear piercing brightness and has amazing low end. Put in a 64’ Deluxe reverb HW and it transformed the amp. Great all around speaker!

Man, What a Crushing Metal Tone
Huge sounding speaker with a warm and balanced midrange and a smooth high end that doesn't turn into fizzy white noise with lots of gain. Chug chug chug

Huge Upgrade to an Already Outstanding Amp
I have an Alessandro Working Dog 1x12" combo. It's a great amp. A few years ago I replaced the stock Jensen C12N with an Eminence Cannabis Rex. That was an improvement. However, when I replaced the Cannabis Rex with the Celestion G12-65 Heritage I said to myself "Now I know why big-name players have used Celestion". This speaker is outstanding. It's perfect with great detail. It does it all - sings, crunches, and cleans up for jazz; makes my amp sound superb. Be prepared for a reasonable break-in period. The middle frequencies seemed a bit hollow to me until the speaker was fully broken in.

Compared to one from 1980, it's, well..
I have a few G12-65s from 1980 and bought a new one this year to see if it sounds just as good. Although it looks exactly the same, if you want to match the tone of the same speaker made forty years ago, it's not going to happen. At least not while it's new. It's possible it is exactly the same construction and needs to be broken in over time. The new one was missing the bright end. I kind of think the overall tone was close to matching the old one, but the crisp, bright high end was not there, at least not out of the box and after playing it about 20 hours over six months. I tried to compensate by bringing up the treble on the amp (I play through a Marshall with lots of overdrive), but the high end forced through by the amp just wasn't as good as the natural high end I was hoping the speaker itself had. If anyone has been playing one of these for a few years and thinks the tone definitely improves over time, I'd be grateful if you'd let me/others know.

Celestion G12-65 Heritage speaker - the very best
Very good speker that covers a lot of ground, rock, blues, Jazz, fusion. Good bottom end does hot get flabby like the 12 h's when pushed hard. Speker is worth every penny. Using it with Ken Fisher tweaked 5881 Komet amp, Bruno super 100, two rock amps, and Dumble ODS. Works great and sounds good with all these amps.
