desertcart.com: The Joy of Gay Sex, Revised & Expanded Third Edition: Silverstein, Charles, Picano, Felice: Books Review: Very interesting read for a gay guy born in the 2000s, in a stable relationship. - Bought this out of curiosity because I saw a citation to it in a reading from my college English class. I am gay so of course, I was naturally curious. There are explicit depictions of some topics covered in the book, so if that scares you, be wary. Never bothered me too much. My boyfriend and I read it together and well, with no expectations, it does give some interesting ideas to use in the bedroom. It also had a very thorough and enlightening section on STDs, HIV/AIDS, how to stay safe, how to handle situations in which your partner suddenly becomes HIV+, or when you start going out with someone who has been previously diagnosed with HIV, and so forth. Those sections I think are the most impactful takeaways from the entire book, and I definitely recommend this book. Of course, this covers more than just Gay Sex, but dating life, history, mental illness (to a certain limited extent), and so forth. It's definitely worth a read, I feel like no matter who you are, you can take something away from this book that will value you, if you're brave enough! Review: Enjoyable & Informative! - The book is quite comprehensive and an easy read, if just a little dated. Its principal views still hold true and I agree with its bottom line :) Multiple partners, in short order, is a bad idea, for gay or straight! Settle into relationships you're 'comfortable' with, one at a time, please, until the right one comes along! Hopefully sooner than later! Have a nice life!

GREAT BOOK
I haven't had time to sit down and actually start to read the book but I have began flipping through it and what I have read is very well written. It IS quite frank but I like the fact that the use of words isn't completely all like reading a medical journal it's like you would be just talking to a friend and that made it much easier to read. This book also has illustrations which is nice, sometimes it can be difficult to comprehend something in writing but the illustrations are very tasteful and informative. I recommend this book to everyone; gay, straight, bi, lesbian any sexuality.

The lack of some important information makes this book dangerously outdated
The lack of information about PREP makes this book fundamentally dangerous. Many young people do not know about PREP and how it can protect them. Its absence is a huge problem and this edition of the book should be shelved.

Great resource to help understand Gay relationships
Great well thought out resource to help understand gay relationships and different aspects of those relationships. Nice imagery to illustrate what the authors are talking about.

This is absolutely the best general gay sex guide in my opinion. Beautifully illustrated throughout with black and white sketches, and absolutely full of great information on all aspects of gay life and gay sex.
