Great aid to navigation
Great item - 5 stars. It's a simple item which does what it says.It has the two map scales I use most (1:25,000 and 1:50,000) and the protractor function works flawlessly and it's pretty thick, but flexible plastic. The markings appear to be laminated between layers of the plastic, so we'll see how they hold up or whether the layers of plastic delaminate or whatever over time and field use - I'm not expecting any issues, but I'll update if required.Delivery was a little slow but it was an international sale and the package arrived soaking wet, so I'm guessing the postal service misdelivered or lost it temporarily - no poor reflection on Map Tools at all.A simple tool which I will be modifying with the addition of a melted pinhole dead centre of the protractor with a strong nylon thread knotted into it for more precise measurement of angles/bearings as per many British Commonwealth military issue "Romers".Great product.

Very Nice UTM protractor
My Brother-in-law and I were going deer hunting to some of his favorite stands. We met up before going, and shared some GPS coordinates, but me being a little old fashioned, I like to use topographic maps as a backup. I use this protractor to make sure I mark the correct spots, and carry it with me just in case. This protractor makes the topo map work easier. I really like have the angles listed around the outside. I haven't had to use the map for traveling any long distances, but I also do some geo-caching, and every so often, we have a "topo" day. Those angles are really useful to figure out azimuths to caches.Overall, a really good protractor. I was initially worried about the thickness, but it is plenty thick enough, and is still pliable.

What you expect + way more!!
Great seller and great product! Arrived earlier than expected, which is always great. The tool itself is pretty sturdy plastic and does what it's supposed to. What's really excellent is the detailed instructions that came with it, almost everything you need to know about grid coordinates for the military grid reference system or the universal transverse mercator system along with two practice quizzes! Even more, the seller included a waterproof guide to the magnetic declination specific to my area! This company really does an amazing job and provides more than expected. Great value.

Trade in your issued Protractor
As an active duty service member this is by far the best protractor that I have ever used. This protractor is highly accurate with no need to shave plastic as you would with other protractors. I did not have a problem with flexibility as some of the other reviewers had suggested, so I think that issue has been resolved. I only had one issue with the protractor and that is the white line where the azimuth degrees are shown did rub off during transportation in cargo pocket while running. I partially blame myself because I normally leave my protractor in by book from point to point and I am sure that being completely drenched aided in the destruction of the print, but at the same time I think that the durability of the paint or printing could be improved slightly.

Fantastic, high quality, and durable.
The information packet that came with the map reading tool was fantastic. Now I have something to read to go by. The product itself is of good materials and workmanship. Well worth the price tag.
