Hicarer Clock Movement Mechanism Kit Operated Quartz DIY Repair Parts Battery Clock Mechanism Replacement with 2 Pairs of Short Hands

I bought this to replace the movement in an old 1970's Campbells Soup kitchen wall clock, the movement was exactly the same size and shaft length as the old movement. I wanted to re-use the original hands on the clock, the original hour hand from the clock fit the new movement perfectly, as did the original second hand, but the shaft hole in the original minute hand was a bit too big to fit the new movement. Had it been smaller I could have enlarged it, but being too big around, I had to take a different approach. Using wire cutters, I was able to cut off the shaft end of one of the replacement hands that came with the new movement and I used Gorilla Glue to glue the shaft end of the new hand to the back side of the original hand, like a bushing, so the opening in the old original minute hand was now the correct size to fit the new movement. I could then attach the old original minute hand to the new movement, and it works great. Easy install, started running immediately on putting in a new battery. So far is working great (less than a day though - time will tell how long it lasts!)

I have a 5" face plate so the parts were small. I made two attempts - I learned from the first. You have to lay the clock down to put the hands on and you need small tools to pick up and attach the thin parts. I'm thrilled with the outcome.

It’s a nice set. I was able to keep the movement in place with the rubber washer that is included. You get some choice of hour/minute hands. The second hand is fragile and worked until I had to remove it to secure the minute hand.

Simple and easy repair to keep clocks going. What happens is clocks fall off the wall, batteries corrode and they end up needed replacement. This set does the trick for my clock repair honey due job. It features excellent value, looks and functionality with easy to follow instructions on the back of the package and the movement seems to have good durability. I gave it high marks for all the reasons mentioned. Oh, just be sure of the shaft length you need.

Works perfectly to replace old mechanism. Wanted gold colored hands so just got a gold paint pen which came out perfect. Still telling the right time and not difficult to install.

Hands provided do not fit all clocks. Bought to replace hands on a clock I loved that stopped working. None of the hands provided were the right size and exact size details were not provided in product description 😔.

I got this to replace a clock that kept dying, and I have to say it is performing exactly how I wanted it to. Long life, good accuracy, and a wonderful sense of "this is not going to cause me any problems."

I had this old wall clock, iron art round face that is battery operated - nothing special other than I just really liked it. It has not worked in years so I have just kept it b/c I like the looks. I decided to get this little kit and see if I could get it working again. This repair kit was perfect. The hands it came with were a bit too small for my clock so I just re-used what the clock originally had and that worked great. My clock now works and keeps time once again. I love a traditional analog clock, and am so happy that parts are available to fix them. Perfect repair kit.

Remplace un ancien mouvement mécanique sur une horloge ancienne (en cours de restauration). Montage en une heure pour adapter le mécanisme. Ensuite, on a une ensemble qui ressemble bien à l'original, ce qui était attendu. Compte tenu du prix, c'est très intéressant. D'autre part, l'exactitude de l'heure est très appréciée.
