Garden of Life Super Seed - Vegetarian Whole Food Fiber Supplement with Protein and Omega 3, 5oz (600g) Powder

I'm trying to listen to my Dr. for a change and I decided to add more fiber to my diet. I wanted to add a supplement and I tried the orange flavored stuff. It was OK, but I wanted something that tasted more natural than like clumpy Tang with artificial sweetener. I purchased Garden of Life Super Seed based on the ingredients and good reviews and I am very happy with it. Not only am I getting fiber, I'm getting protein, Omega 3 and all the other good stuff it has. I was a little concerned because it had more calories and I'm overweight, but it is actually helping me lose weight by filling me up. I've also used it as a meal by mixing it with skim milk and eating it with 7-grain toast with marmalade or a couple of scrambled eggs. I love it mixed with milk. It goes down like a bran muffin in a drink. I also sometimes drink a glass with water 15 minutes before dinner and I noticed I'm able to control my portions much better. Another reviewer said it is clumpy, and it is, especially if you wait. That is because fiber absorbs water so as time goes on it gets a little thick. The orange stuff works the same way, so either way you have to drink it quickly or maybe water it down a little and mix it up again (or just drink the thick remainder). OK, it doesn't taste like chocolate cake, but it isn't supposed to. I think this stuff tastes great, especially with milk. I find that out of the other high fiber foods I've tried (orange stuff, snack bars) this fills me up the best and I feel like my carb cravings have subsided a little. Over all, I feel my energy level has increased significantly and I have much less mental fog. This isn't due to this particular product per se, but it made it easier for me to increase fiber and lower simple carbs like white flour products and sweets. In addition to this supplement once or twice a day, which is more like a food than a supplement, I'm eating 1 high fiber snack bar a day and trying to eat veggies (I'm allergic to most fruits) at every meal for about 30g of fiber a day. I still eat my favorite bad food (pizza and Chinese food), but I am eating smaller portions-- and not because I'm forcing myself to eat small portions but because I'm full sooner. I feel great and I'm happy Super Seed is part of my daily diet.

Good tasting the cinnamon taste really dominates over the taste of the other ingredients so if you like cinnamon just mix the product with water and you're good to go. It works very similar to the Garden of Life Organic Unflavored Fiber Powder Detox Blend which I also like and think it works great as well. Overall a really great brand I also take the multivitamins and I've noticed an overall raise in my energy levels and well being.

Definitely not as good as their Raw Organic Fiber, which they unfortunately appear to have discontinued. Very disappointed about that. If you’re wanting an insoluble fiber supplement (there are two different types of fiber that each do different things and serve different purposes), then this is the next best option since the vast majority of fiber supplements Amazon sells are entirely or almost entirely soluble fiber rather than insoluble fiber. Regarding the two types of fiber: Insoluble fiber: Does not dissolve in water and your body does not digest it. Insoluble fiber provides necessary beneficial flora for your intestinal tract, helping your body better absorb nutrients, lower cholesterol, and keep you regular. This product is about 80% insoluble fiber, with a taste and texture sort of like Malt-O-Meal or Cream of Wheat. This product also has a bit of cinnamon in it, which gives it a bit more appealing taste. Soluble fiber: Dissolves in water, forming a tasteless gummy texture. Soluble fiber helps make you feel full longer and remains in your stomach longer, making you feel full longer so you eat less. It also helps reduce the amount of cholesterol your digestive tract absorbs. This product is about 20% soluble fiber.

I started buying this because of the cost of another leading brand that auto ships to my house every month. This excellent product that works as well if not better than the other auto ship product, only costs 1/2 as much. I just mix it up In a cup with some juice I like Apple and Grape myself It doesn't take a blender or anything just to spoon a couple twirls and it's good to go there's no lumps and the taste is completely acceptable The juice takes over 100% of the flavor and it smells fine it's not overbearing or disgusting smells like health for lack of a better word smells like and taste like something I don't mind putting in my body. I highly recommend this product, Garden of Life Super Seed Powder

Love this product with yogurt, have become allergic to everything since covid so gave up yogurt, am still using this in dairy free yogurt and recommend for fiber and taste

When I use this product, I usually put a scoop of it in my morning smoothie along with a cup of unsweetened almond milk, a scoop of brown rice protein powder, blueberries, and 1/2 a banana. I've tried it by itself in unsweetened almond milk as well. At first it was quite sweet for my tastes - they sweeten it with stevia which took me a few tries to get used to. I actually now enjoy the taste. My only complaint is that the product makes me quite gassy. I keep saying that I will use it for a couple of weeks to see if my body adjusts, but I always stop after about 3 days. I mean, let's be real, I work and live with people, I can't be letting out noxious fumes! :) It also doesn't quite get things moving the way I'd hoped it would. This may be because I'm never able to use it long enough to get the desired results. It looks like a high quality, product with healthy ingredients. I only wish my body saw it that way. 1 scoop = 70 calories, 9g of carbs, 2.5g fat, 6g protein, 6g fiber (3 soluble, 4 insoluble). The fiber blend is composed of organic flax seed meal and whole chia seed. The Poten-Zyme Whole Food Fiber Blend is mostly organic and made from amaranth sprout, quinoa sprout, millet sprout, buckwheat sprout, garbanzo beat sprout, kidney bean sprout, lentil sprout, aduzki bean spout, flax seed sprout, sunflower seed sprout, pumpkin seed sprout, chia seed sprout, and sesame sprout. It also has omega 3 fatty acids and a proprietary probiotic blend.

Got this to replace my RAW fiber from Garden of Life. I don't like it as much, but it does the trick, so no real complaints. I just really loved the other stuff for consistency and quality and flavor. I hope it comes back.
