Tastes as expected, good shelf life.

I added a trick to making the rice look & taste better. After the microwave, I rolled the top down and put a clip(or clothes pin) on it, and set it aside as I fixed other items. Afterwards it looked like the rice at a buffet. Not to bad. I also added about a teaspoon of soy sauce and gently mixed it up. Not perfect, but good enough.

Obviously, fresh made tastes a lot better but Uncle Ben's makes a decent product. I tried it both ways- just microwaved and then in a skillet and the skillet method is better but either way, it's decent!

I absolutely love this rice. Add a few veggies and it's a meal. It's not low in sodium as is true of most fried rice. When I have a member of my family here who has to watch his salt, I add some plain white rice to it to lower the sodium per serving level.

Tried This Brand Of Microwave Rice In The Past; Figured Maybe It Improved; But It's Even Worse, Truly Vile. DO NOT Purchase!

Warms up less clumpy than other ready made rice. Tastes great!

I always pan fry this rice packet, to very good results. I add a little water, cooking oil, and any old stir fry sauce I happen to grab. And then include a litlle chicken, beef or anchivies, and expect a very tasty meal.

I was disappointed in this product. It didn’t have any taste really, but a slight chemical taste. It was trying to be fried rice, but just tasted like like it was sitting in a plastic pouch for way too long. I ate it, but I will not buy it again it’s not worth it.
