A way around the taste..
Love this product! I have problems swallowing pills, so I rely on the ease of being able to dissolve and drink tudca. So, yes, the taste is horrible, but the benefits are amazing (more energy, improved digestion, and I have experienced an increase in focus), so I’ve found a way to make the product bearable. Step 1: make coffee.(typically my morning coffee). Strp 2: dissolve the scoop-full in cold water. Step 3: chug the tudca water and, once finished, directly drink a bit of coffee. Gets rid of the bitter taste. Also, I’ve been drinking tudca in the morning this way for 4 months now and, honestly, I can drink it fine now without needed my coffee nearby.

Nutricost is no longer reliable
I've bought this product 2 others times, and it is in the top 3 of worst tasting substance, but now, this last purchase does not dissolve in water and becomes a sticky gooey mess. It sticks to the teeth, gums and roof of the mouth and stays there. Nutricost CS was unconcerned about this. I was told by Nutricost CS that they had decided to change the source of their tudca and they could do that without notification with any product. I live overseas, and the cost of shipping is more than the product, so return isn't in the cards for me.... This is why I went with Nutricost for so long, because they were reliable, but not so much now.

Figured out a good way to deviate from the taste.
I bought this product after researching how to help heal my fatty liver. As everyone commented, the taste is just awful, tried it with a flavored water, no good. Determined to suck it up & drink it regardless (healing is my goal) one night after finishing my 4 oz of water mixed w/TUDCA & a glass of flavored water, I was like, I need to get this flavor out of my mouth. I had tuna salad made in fridge, so I took a teaspoon and it worked. Now, I have a bowl next to me, one large sip of TUDCA, one teaspoon of tuna. It really worked, I was able to finish the 4 oz in a few minutes, opposed to almost an hour. As for if it works, the pain in my liver has gone away & I also take Milk Thistle, so far, so good. Time will tell. Hope this helps.

Immediately effective on glucose muscle insulin sensitivity
Heard about this from somebody who swears it changed everything for them. Decided to try the powder. Warned about the taste. The taste is exactly like yellow dry heaves bile throwups, which makes sense since this is bile acid. Once you realize it tastes just like your own bile, it's fine. I drink it with apple juice and ice right before eating, twice a day. 4 days in and already have a huge difference in how effectively my meals are being utilized by the body. Reminds me of bing in my 20s again and lifting weights in the gym. Will be using this for a few months to see what long term use benefits it has. The scooper looks to be 250mg, so I use the scoop once for breakfast and once for another meal, so 500mg per day. If you're unsure, just see if you can get 50 or 100 scoops out of 25 grams, 100 scoops means it's 250mg. Recommending to all my friends who suffer from old man liver.

Tastes like *SS.
I knew the Tudca powder was going to taste bad but to get the necessary amount taking capsules would have been nigh impossible and you’d have to have a 55 gallon drum of capsules anyway. Having said that, I had NO IDEA it would taste this bad. Honestly, I can stomach almost anything and this stuff makes me feel like puking. It’s that bad. Having said that though, it DOES work to help protect your liver. My suggestion would be to mix it with some type of citrus drink. Something that’s naturally bitter like lemonade, add a little extra lemon juice to it and ALOT of artificial sweetener and it’s almost tolerable that way. The biggest thing about the taste is the bitterness. It’s like eating chalk covered Ear wax. Surely they could come up with a way to make high dose capsules OR do something to mask the taste of the powder without sacrificing its effectiveness.

too bitter, pay extra for capsules
Like another reviewer, I patted myself on the back at finding a less expensive (per gram) option. This powder is extremely bitter. Mixing with water was a no go, and even in a chocolate keto shake the bitterness was overpowering (i throw out the shake too). I finally took the whole serving at once, with a spoonful of [the next] chocolate shake -- I got it down, and i could probably do it again, but i'm planning to go back to capsules. I'm too frugal to throw it out ... but i'll only use it when I can take serving with a spoonful of something. Seller recommends mixing with a strong drink -- I can't imagine what that might be. Heck, I make Thai Iced Tea, and I'm not certain that would be sufficient. I did find another brand of capsules, with a somewhat lower price per gram. While I trust Nutricost, I'm going to give the other capsules a try.

Real TUDCA is BITTER
This is real tudca and it works. It’s too bitter for the average person. Makes prednisone taste like candy. Put it in your own capsules so you know there are no fillers. The one star reviews complaining about taste is a good indication this product is the real thing.

BEYOND BITTER
Most tudca comes in pill form but for me those pills are insanely huge. I wanted a powder kind but this powder is just SO INSANELY BITTER. It is BEYOND BITTER. I just cant seem to figure out how to take this stuff. It seems to ruin 3 hours of my day just by getting this down my throat. I tried all the tips, orange juice seemed to be the biggest tip and yes it helped but still awful! Seems like I just gotta drill out my throat so that I can swallow the pill version.

I've purchased tudca capsules before but did not find much going on in terms of fat digestion after a meal. So I decided to break open the capsules to find that they do not taste bitter at all. This powder however, works it's magic in a very short period after a meal but is extremely bitter(tastes like warm stout found in Asia), and from what I understand, bitter foods stimulate the liver to release bile salts. Takes a while for the tastebuds to adapt but when you get over it, it will be a crucial component for liver and gallbladder health, especially as you get older.

This item came in a neat little container with a little plastic spoon (measurement dose) It arrived on time and I was able to track it. I do know at this stage how effective it is. (my gaul bladder has been removed) Elizabeth Waddell

I rating it low only because nutricost won't reply to my question, which leaves me lacking confidence. I received the TUDCA powder 25g. On the package it says to have one scoop in water, one dose is 500mg and one scoop is one dose. I can be sensitive to supplements so I decided I would start with 100mg, so I weighed the amount in the scoop, and found it was 250mg not the stated 500mg, I tried many times, and every day since recieving it, and the result is the same, the most I can get in a scoop is 250mg. Since 250mg is very different from 500mg I felt I should send an email to Nutricost to find out if they have supplied the wrong scoop or the label is wrong or the product is not what we think it is. Well I sent an email to Nutricost on 16th November 2019, then I followed up and resent it on 19th November 2019, it is now 26th November 2019 and no response from Nutricost in regard to this. Be careful, nutricost don't appear to like being questioned
