Basic Construction Materials 8th Edition

This is a must have to understand Materials in it’s entirety!

Mr. Coffey and Dr. LaPlante work at Hudson Valley Community College where I go for civil engineering. The book starts off dealing with aggregates and has so far been very helpful.

Purchased this book in used but good condition. I was in exactly that condition when it arrived. Actually I would call it very good but used, I am very pleased with the quality of the book and the accuracy of the description from the seller. And I ordered fast shipping and I had it in 3 days. It's important to note that this version of the book has the ACTUAL ASTM STANDARDS for testing of construction materials whereas the next edition has them omitted and the test standards are edited and renamed as "experiment # x". If you want the actual ASTM standards, buy this version.

I needed this book for a class and I used it all throughout the semester. The book was helpful and exactly as expected.

The content of the book is good. The practice problems have a lot of mistakes and do not offer the solutions.

really good basic construction book. had good info if your just getting into the business but it is for entry level
