I have had the best luck using the B size ball to hold such things a gps units. Initially I used the A size to hold my gps on dirt bikes, quads and snowmobiles. The smaller 9/16” A balls were not able to hold the units without slippage on rough trails. The lager 1” B size balls hold the units in all conditions.

I got this clip plus the angled bolt head adapter and short double socket arm to create a mount for my Oregon 600 on my Polaris RMK 850 snowmobile. It took literally 5 minutes to install nearly tool free - very well designed products. The clip seems to hold the GPS securely and the socket arm clamps down TIGHT on the ball ends. So we'll see how it does in the field test this weekend but from what I can tell it will work great. Looking forward to not having to pull my GPS out of my pocket every time I want to look at it. Although, it's going to get cold sitting in this mount so the battery life will be reduced.

Perfect fit on my Garmin 86sc. When doing my surveys, I can now attach it to the RAM arm/suction mount on the boat window.

I purchased this thinking it as a general clip mount. I was wrong. However, I reversed the "clip mount", added some washers and longer #10(?) screws. It now fits my Radioddity GS-5B really well. If I trim about 1/8" off the bottom I can access the usb charge port on the battery. Suitable spacers would make this look professional.It will work with my Baofeng UV-5R, but not as well (clips but not secure vertically). It will not accommodate my Yaesu FT-60 at all.I wish the description was a bit more clear, but if I had looked closely I would have noticed that it is not what I expected.

Used it for my rzr and my etrex 20 looking forward to upgrading to a 67i and should also work with that

The clip works great and the Ram ball mount system is solid and too notch.

The fitment is great with my Garmin gps unit. That I like to mount on my motorcycle for trail riding.
