Love these pens!
I have been a scrapbooker for decades, but I recently got into Bible Journaling. I was trying to outline some creative lettering I did with some other journaling pens, only to discover that the size I needed was totally dead. (Warning, never shake an open pen that you think is out of ink... ink on my face, neck, computer and chair... ) I searched on Amazon and found this 3 pack of Microns. I had owned a 2 pack of these from a direct sales company which shall remain nameless, and discovered that this 3pack was less expensive than their 2pack. I love that there are three sizes to this set - .01, .03, and .05 - there is just enough difference in the sizes to be of good use to me. PROS: great black pens 3 sizes for better utility excellent price fast shipping conveniently and safely packaged CONS: None that I have found CONCLUSION: At the rate I play with my pencils and pens, I imagine I'll use these up and need more. I hope that they are still available here because I feel like I really got a good deal on these!!! The outlining really, REALLY, makes my art lettering POP! I used the .03 to outline the lettering below. The opinions expressed herein are my own, based on my personal experience with this product and my perceived utility of the product as well as its value for the cost. Great Pens: Don't bleed or smear.
These pens are fantastic. I have been looking for pens that will not bleed through thin paper and I have found them. These are great for writing in Moleskin journals with the thing paper; I had settled on thick paper since I could never find pens that didn't bleed through, but finally I can return to the thin pages and there is no bleeding, no smearing, and it writes effortlessly! I ordered the 3 sizes because I wasn't sure which size would be best. The smallest pen is really quite thin so maybe not the best for writing unless you like thin pens. The .05 is the one that I use the most because it is perfect for writing notes and journal entries. It is of similar thickness to V5 and V7 pens but without the bleeding. I havent used the pens long enough to run out of ink but I am noticing that they write less fluidly as time progresses (definitely less writing time than with V5 or V7 pilot pens). However, the ink is still quite strong after 30 pages of writing but I am noticing the lagging.

Great pen - makes my writing more legible
I keep buying these over and over again. They actually make my writing more legible. Its amazing what a good pen can do for your handwriting. The ONLY gripe I have about these is that the cap doesnt stay on the non pen end when writing. I wish they had made the grip a little more secure on that end. Otherwise a perfect writing instrument. The .3 and .5 MM pens are great for everyday writing. The .1 is a little small for my taste. Ink is definitely water proof and permanent althrough I washed one of these through the washer and the pen nib was white by the time it was done and not a spot on any of my clothes. Not sure if that was luck or by design but just another reason to love these things.

LOVE Micron Pens
LOVE Micron Pens! These are my go-to pens now. I have ordered several sets of various sizes from 01 - 05 because I do not want to be without these babies and I seem to never be able to find a pen when I want one. I'm not an artist, but do journal and write notes. In other words, I use them for writing and not drawing. No matter what paper I use, Micron pens outperform any others I own. I have a small journal with handmade paper and most pens tend to bleed when writing in it...not the Micron's. They lay down ink very smoothly. I prefer the 02 and 03 for my Bullet Journal and general needs. The 05 is about as "big" as I'd want to get. I occasionally underline and write in the margins of my Bible and these don't bleed through the delicate paper like so many others...particularly if I use the 01's or 02's. **I recently took them on a long road-trip and pulled an 05 out to write something and it had leaked into the cap. I wiped off the pen and cap, but it kept leaking, so I threw it away. :-( I am not docking these Pigma Microns a star because I feel that one pen leaking is an anomaly. EDIT 4/23/16: Well, I went ahead and knocked off a star from my original review as a 2nd pen, an 02, leaked and I had to trash it. Just bought these a month ago, too. For what it's worth, I went to their website as well as used Google to check up on this issue. Apparently, it's not terribly uncommon. Here is what their website said "A leak near the nib holder or ink wick could be caused by dropping, inadvertently shaking, or accidently applying centrifugal force to the pen by spinning it in your hand." I am not aware of my doing any of those things...I keep it attached with a loop, to my journal or in my purse. In any event, I will now keep these at home, and will likely stop taking them in my purse or car as I am afraid they will leak. First one started leaking on a road trip and we went from about 500 ft above sea level to as much as 5000 ft above sea level. At the higher elevation is where I discovered the pen had leaked into the cap. 2nd one was while I was sitting at a restaurant, and pulled out my notebook to make a list. I still love the pens, but am a bit skeptical about their durability. Trust me, I'm not a pen twirler, nor do I spin my pens. Comment

A convenient and inexpensive set of the best sketch pens around!
There is a reason that these are the trusted pens of professional artist and drafters around the world. These pens are durable and have various fine point sizes. I especially like the multi size pack because it gives you the ability to try out three different size tips for one low price. I use there pens for lettering, drawing and note taking. They use and archival ink which means it won't bleed or fade. Their tips are durable and won't easily fray even when using on inexpensive or low quality paper. Great gift for a budding artist, student or professional!

Professional Quality Ink Pens
What can I say about this 3 pack of Sakura pens? They are amazing! They are a great quality pen for the novice or the professional. I read a lot of reviews and viewed a lot of pen work before investing in these pens. I love the idea that you can refill the pens. I find that they last a while i try to be mindful of putting the caps back on properly to help reduce premature drying. You won't be disappointed this is a great set for the beginner sketch artist. My only issue was that on the Sakura site I noticed they had pen sizes that are nearly impossible to find individual or in a set and these were mostly the #2, #4 sizes. They may have discontinued them but #3 and #5 should be sufficient enough. You'll have hours of enjoyment with this set of professional quality ink pens.

New Favorite Pens
For the longest time--for the last year and a half actually--since I began my slow but steady journey into bullet journals, note books and spiraling pen addiction, I had dismissed a lot of very hip and trendy advice blogs all recommending these pens. I realize now there was a good reason why they are recommended by everyone. I've had these pens since August (2019) and they have replaced any and all other pen. I specifically keep the 01 Micron for the tiny print for my bullet journal and the others for regular writing and note taking elsewhere, but they are amazing. The ink doesn't ghost in my bullet journal nor through the cheaper lined paper I sometimes use. They flow wonderfully. They do take a few moments to dry, so if you forget (like I do) and go to brush something off the page within a millisecond of using them, they will smear a tiny bit. Like any good pen and ink, let it sit for a moment before brushing dirt, a stray cat hair, or eraser debris from the page. I love these pens so much, and hope to be able to save up to get more like these. RECOMMEND? : That's a huge all caps YES from me!
