Comfortable; does the job!
This is one of the more comfortable shapers that actually does a decent job of holding things in. For reference, I am 5' 8" and weigh 195. Normally, I wear a size 16, which would have been an XL per rhe size chart. Because most said to use up, I bought the 2XL. I probably could have gone down one size if I wanted more belly control, but for smoothing, the larger size still definitely does the job. Things I like: 1) The boy short portion is neither too long (cutting into my thighs) or too short (giving me panty lines.) It lies flat around my bum and even in light colored leggings, the shaper is not noticible. 2) The top is not so tight that you have that extra bulge between bra & shaper. 3) It does not "ride up" giving you a wedgie! 4) It gently smooths the belly making fitted shirts look nicer. What I'd improve: 1) The top edge (which has a no slip gripper) wants to flip over. It doesn't fall down or continue rolling, but it is a bit of an annoyance. The good thing is, you don't feel or see that the top edge has flipped so I consider this minor. I enclosed added a picture with one of my clingy white sweaters so you could see how it looks underneath. All in all, a great buy. May get one in black, too!

Helps alot! Not a miracle worker but its worth a try.
I've been searching for a shaper on Amazon for a while, Id say over a month, and this is the fourth one I've tried. I have a Fleexes top that holds in my tummy so I figured I'd try the shaper. I got the brief at first, it fit fine but uncomfortably tight so I swapped over to the shorts! Today was my first day wearing them out (Id say about 6 hrs) and here's my take. For reference: 5'3", appx 173 lbs, got a large. In tops/dresses etc, I'm usually a M or L. Pros: -Tight band at the top, didn't have any slipping as long as I adjusted it right. Had to pull the back up higher to prevent flab. -Smoothing and slimming -Good length: comes right below the br* line on me but I am short -No cr**ch squeezing, shorts are very comfy! -Comfy breathable material for all day wear even in summer heat, didn't feel hot or suffocated -Slimmed the sides and the front! ( this is just a few inch difference from sucking in.) Cons: -The front of the shorts rolls up. I dont know why, there's plenty there to make them fit but they be rollin. Its not too noticeable tho -Gotta take it off and readjust for bathroom -The V line on the back..why? It shows slightly under tight or sheer clothing. Tips for possible buyers: This helps, but it doesn't work miracles! I have a waist trainer that gives that perfect hourglass shape--dont expect this to do all of that! It's just a shaper, its good for smoothing and slimming out problem areas or flab. If you're bigger on the lower half (wide hips/thighs) like me, and in between sizes, I suggest to size up.

Great compression without sacrificing comfort
The shaper is high compression and it fits so well. It doesn’t suffocate you and really holds you in. I recommend going down a size for better control. I initially got 2xl but it didn’t give me the support I was looking for so I went to the xl. I like that the boy short can’t be seen. It fits my thighs at a higher spot than the model which I like because it’s just like boy shorts underwear and not like short shorts. I even bought the regular version to this in xl and am very happy with it. It sits high up, under my bra so it hides the back fat and makes everything looks seamless. Highly recommend getting this.

Okay
Large is usually comfortable fit and loose, had to squeeze into this one. It does go high, about to the bra strap and pretty much stayed up (pulled up a few times), does smooth and suck some stuff in. However, the shorties ride up a lot and there's some big seam in the back for some reason--why would they make it like that? So you can see the lines somewhat through a thin slim dress, not great in that way.

The Maidenform Flexees is good in that it does stay up- it does not ...
***Product update**- I first tried this garment 2 weeks post tt. I felt like it didnt control my swelling enough. Flash forward to 7 weeks post tt, where my swelling is minimal and I wear a garment mostly for skin sensitivity at this point- I tried it again and it works great, more flexible and comfortable than the garment the doctor gave me. It is not as tight as my doctor-garment, but it does hold my stomach in place and I'm able to wear it under more outfits than the doctor-garment because it is less noticeable.I still can't wear it under jeans because it squishes my butt (I probably needed a Medium to cover my butt, but the small fits my stomach & back just fine). But it stays up great and does what it's supposed to do. *Original review** I bought this girdle to wear after a tt. The garments the doctor gave me go all the way to my thighs and squish my butt, so I was looking for something less noticeable that I could wear under jeans, ect. I was 5'5, 145lbs before surgery and nornally wear an xs/small shirt. The Maidenform Flexees is good in that it does stay up- it does not roll down. I ordered a small and it fit fine. What I did not like is that it's not as tight around my lower stomach, it doesn't hold it in as well so it didn't control my swelling as needed. Also, the shorts part doesn't fit over my butt so it just pushes down and creates funky rolls in jeans. All in all, it's not a bad faja and I think if you're looking for something to wear regularly and not after surgery, that this will be fine.

Love the look and feel!
I ordered according to the chart and it fit perfectly. I wear a 0 in Torrid tops and a 1 in Torrid bottoms. That makes me a generous 14 on the bottom. So according to that, I bought the L instead of the XL. Seems perfect. I am currently more plump and squishier than I'd like to be, and I hate shapewear that is too tight or cutting on my fleshy upper thighs around the crotch area. That's why I got this boy short version. Yes, it looks alarmingly TINY when you take it out of the bag, but don't despair. And yes, for the unpracticed and/or rusty (me) it IS a little tricky at first to get into, but it is by NO means as difficult as other shapewear I have tried. I will be honest. My first thought as I was trying it on was, "Ok, I probably don't want to get too tipsy at the Halloween party," with visions of me rolling around on the floor of the ladies room wrestling with this thing. But that's more about MY lack of coordination than the minimizer. Once I was triumphantly in it (which truly did not take long) I really, really, really liked how soft and comfortable it is. For anyone complaining it's not as hardcore as Spanx, it's probably not. It's only a 2 out of 3 firmness by its own chart. It's a minimizer, not a magician! Personally, I don't think it's going to take any dress sizes off me, but it IS going to smooth out the bumps and bulges, making what I wear look much nicer and more polished WITHOUT being uncomfortable. In fact, wearing it is actually going to make me feel more comfortable. That's all I ask. If the thing explodes or malfunctions or self-destructs in any other way, I will update my review, and wisely use the "free returns" option that came with the purchase.

Tug of war at the top
I have mixed opinion. I have read other reviews that say the top stays up without rolling down and I unfortunately am not experiencing that with the garment. I have compared it to another Maidenform style that does not roll and this boyshort does not have an extra finishing row of stitching around the top that would possibly hold the elastic from rolling down, like the other style does. Otherwise the size, quality, price and comfortable fit are pros.. just not liking having to tug at the garment to keep it in place.

very tight and uncomfortable in the crotch area
I love the torso part of this shapewear, I want the same thing but with shorts. These being briefs they end up being really tight around your leg there (I do not have big thighs, my belly is my issue), so it rids up into your crotch and is really tight there, very uncomfortable. I will be being another version with shorts.
