Simple, great price and it works.
I had originally owned the DSAN Corp. LSP-1 Laptop SoundPort 3.5mm Stereo Mini Male to 3-Pin XLR Male In-Line Adapter to play music from my laptop through the school gym sound system (during our basketball tournament). The volume control on the Dsan was convenient and allowed me to change the volume manually by turning the knob. Well, I lost my 90 dollar thingamajig and needed a quick replacement. I took a chance and purchased the Hosa XVM110 and it has been nothing short of perfect. I don't have the knob anymore but volume can be controlled from the device you're connected to. I have played my music and FM radio stations from my Droid X using the Hosa XVM110 without any issues. For the price and all the possibilities of connections with 3.5 devices, you can't go wrong.

A quickie solution.
This cable is a quick solution to get the stereo signal out of an iPod or iPad into one channel of a sound system. The cable basically sums the stereo signal down to mono and then your content is played through a sound system without any phase cancellation issues. If you really want stereo, then you need a Y cable that is TRS Mini on one end, and two separate opposing ends, either TS Quarter or XLRM, on the other end, to go into two channels of a stereo sound system. I'm finding that this simple solution, with mono sound, works just fine for most applications, especially on a single (mono) Bose L1, in small to medium size rooms, when playing guitar over tracks. The modest 10 foot length gives no noise. The jacks connect snuggly. Thanks!

Great quality for the price.
This cable does exactly what it is supposed to do. The XLR connection is a tight fit which is good, though I do wish there was an indexing mark on the outer case where the middle peg would be in the XLR end. The cable itself is good quality, I wish it was a little stiffer but it still works very well.Moving down to the 3.5mm jack portion, it is a 90 deg turn so that is amazing when plugging my tablet in as a soundboard.Overall great product for what you are paying for it and would for sure buy again

Excellent Product!!
I thought that I wouldn't have gotten much volume from using this. I was wrong! This worked great! I got Clear and loud sound when using this cable. I used it in an old church for my brothers wedding. It was very cost effective because we didn't have to hire a DJ. I just hooked this up to my computer and ran a playlist that I controlled from my iPhone. Very Effective!!The build quality is excellent and they offer a lifetime warranty on all their cables, at least that's what the box said. I couldn't be more pleased! For the price you can't go wrong.

works okay even though it's not made for this
It does work to plug a phone into a church/school microphone system to play music over the loud speakers, even though it really not made for that. Due to the balanced vs unbalanced mismatch between the systems, you get a very loud pop when you plug it in, and you have to have the phone volume on the lowest setting to keep the volume manageable. Not a fault of this device, but something you should be aware of if you intend to use it for this. If you turn off the microphone system and then plug everything in, you can avoid the loud and potentially damaging hiss and crack.

Thus when I saw this one for a good price, I didn't even hesitate
I've been buying Hosa cables for a long time, I mean many years. I've got cables that are close to 10-15 years old and are still working no problem. Over that many years I think I had only one cable fail, so I took it back to Guitar Center and they swapped it out for free. Thus when I saw this one for a good price, I didn't even hesitate. Two clicks and I had it on the way.Works like its suppose to, absolutely no problems. This cable is wired for a balanced xlr input into the sound board so you actually get a mono sound. If I remember correctly, connections coming from 1/8 jack to xlr are as follows: sleeve to pin 1 and 2, (ground); ring and tip to pin 3. See attached picture. In my case, I was using xlr only as a carrier in the snake (those are the only open ports I had), so I opened up the xlr connector on this cable and re-soldered the wires, pin 1 to ground (sleeve), pin 2 to tip (left channel), pin 3 to ring (right channel); See the second picture. On the other end of the snake I had a 1/4 stereo jack so I was actually carrying the stereo signal all the way to the sound board from the stage just had an xlr connection in the middle of the whole thing. Tested, all worked great.Even though the product was not built to be used in the way I use it, it is definitely with universal connector that is easy to open up and modify or solder a new one/different one if you need it.Definitely a recommended product and the company for that matter

Conveniently Converts Microphones Outputs to XLR
I choose this adapter to convert a 3.5mm microphone into an XLR amplifier for use as audio input to a PC. Specifically from a Sony ECMMS907 Digital Recording Microphone, gender changed using a Hosa Coupler 3.5 mm Female - 3.5 mm Female Stereo or Mono, and then amplified and converted to PC USB use with a Shure X2U XLR-to-USB Signal Adapter. I can say it works perfectly in this particular setup. The connectors seem durable enough, the cable is a generous 10 feet long and very pliable, and it even has a right angle connector for cable neatness - a bit of a rarity.See my product pictures for the packaging details which has the wiring diagram on it.

Add an iPhone to a mic port
Great addition that allowed us to play music from an iPhone, iPad, or computer right down at the announcer's table in our field house. The wifi connection wasn't getting it done because of the two to three second delay. I needed sound effects and music to start/stop on a dime so that officials didn't give me a dirty look when the music was still going after an inbounds pass, or when a shattered glass effect played well after a big dunk. This cable fixed that, and it eliminated the annoying hum we got from all the rigged adapters we had been using before.
