I needed a gear for my son's chainsaw toy. was looking all over and came across this set. I took a chance to see maybe I will find the correct gear in here. using 2 gears from this set I was able to fix his toy. Great set for small project. lots of variety.

If you want to assemble a small gear train for a project, these gears look like a great place to start! They all have the same tooth pitch, so they all work with each other in combination. I have not applied any of these to a project yet, but I have separated them into types (no count of each yet): Multiple worm pinions... Multiple motor pinions... Multiple crown gear idlers... Multiple crown gear compounds... Multiple Idler gears... Multiple compound gears... Multiple drive pulleys... Multiple Idler pulleys... Multiple geared pulleys... Two racks... Multiple Rubber bands as pulley belts... Spacer Bushings... Right-angle bearing (One) Miter gear (only one, but no mate - I bought two sets, both identical, both had only one miter gear) NO SHAFTS All of the axle bores are the same size (roughly 1/16 inch), so they would have to be drilled for fitting shafts.

smaller than expected, these gears are VERY SMALL but all pieces were here and we are excited to start playing with them. Not suggested for small kids as parts ore VERY SMALL, some the size of an eraser head. Suggest a picture with something to compare size of gears (like a coin)

Just what I was looking for my home project. Little smaller than I thought but that actually worked out perfectly. Great diverse gear set, with lots of different ones there. Highly recommend if your looking for a tiny gear set.

Nice assortment of small gears. Includes only ONE miter gear. One gear is useless unless you buy 2 packs. They couldn't include 2 miter gears?

Common gear sizes to replace any chipped gears in any of your toy's gearboxes. Not really nylon, but if you need one in a pinch, these are good. Also a heck of a lot of fun to mess with. It has splines, crowns, pulleys and bands, little gears, big gears. Push cut rods into plastic and push these on, add some Vaseline, and a silly gearbox is born. If you're not mechanically inclined, this is fun for experimentation.

They can be used for different mini-projects. I use them to open and close doors and make other things move. Great products have many uses. Just use your imagination. I know you can do it too.

Although there is a great assortment of these plastic gears, my husband wishes they were thicker.
