My Leifheit Ironing Board is about 15 years old and this is the first time I have purchased an ironing board cover of this brand. I should have bought one years ago as it fits perfectly around the end of the board next to the iron rest. Over the years I have struggled to get any cheap cover to fit at this end of ironing board. The cover is well made with elasticated edging instead of nasty strings which struggle to gather the cover and are never long enough to tie. The cover is a little large for my board but I would rather have that than something that does not fit very well and creeps up over the ironing table itself. The thickness of the cover is about 3 mm and not 6mm as advertised on the packet. Despite this I do recommend this product for use with a Leifheit Ironing Board.

Easy to fit on ironing board and insulating nature of material makes ironing easier

The ironing board cover fits and was relatively easy to put on. However, it would be better if there were more attachments to hold it tight underneath. It does provide a good base for ironing..

Our ironing board seems to be slightly wider than the standard, so we struggle a little to find a cover that fits it. This Leifheit Universal cover has become our go to cover. It fits well and lasts a long time, we are very pleased with it.

Fits nicely and tight to the board with the adjustable string (although I wasn't 100% sure how to tighten it, I've made it work somehow but maybe not the right way!). Ironing on it is great and the heat reflection helps a lot. I'll buy another in a few years when this one needs replacing.

My board measures exactly 135x45cm at it's widest and longest points and sadly this cover does not quite fit. My board is 2.6cm think, maybe thicker than some but certainly not abnormal. As can be seen in the pictures I have taken, the cover needs about 1cm more either side to properly wrap around and secure itself to the board. It currently clings on by virtue of how tight I was able to pull the cover's drawstring. With the drawstring being rather pathetic elastic, this was quite difficult and all the stretch had to be taken out of the elastic in order to get a tight fit. The included plastic clip was also useless, not even being able to secure the elastic when not pulled so tightly. Credit to the material though, it was able to withstand the drawstring being pulling so tight. Unfortunately there also seems to be quality control issues, a long thread must have been present prior to the application of the graphics as removing this thread also removed the graphics. As to the performance, it seems perfectly adequate. It flattened out on first use and has worked well with both my normal steam iron and my steam generator, both of which kick out the most steam in their respective classes compared to other makes. The cover did seem a little 'sticky' at first, but the iron now glides after a few uses. I would have returned this but I needed a cover and I made it work. I doubt it will last the amazing 8 years of 6 days a week use that my previous cover did (also by Leifheit), but if it last over a year I will be content and 'treat' myself to a completely new board.

Started to break up after only a couple of months. Probably the worse ironing board cover we have ever owned. The picture was taken exactly 3 months after putting it on the ironing board. Purchased a Joseph Joseph cover instead and it is way better quality than this one.
