Got this for my teenage son before a trip to London. Love how lightweight and packable this light jacket is. He didn't end-up needing to wear it but it's such a plus to be able to easily pack it 'just in case.' It looked good on him and he was excited with how it looked and fit him. Material seems decent. It was very light so I doubt it would be very warm. I don't recall if it noted it was windproof, but I'd be surprise if it is. This does NOT strike me as a super solid rain coat, just something to have in case of light rain. But we also didn't test in rainy conditions so I could be wrong. I've seen other reviews that hosed it down and it held-up well.

Light weight and warm. I actually bought 2. I got one for my son for his fishing. He loved it so much I got one for my trip to Alaska but I didn't have rain. I'm traveling again today and since it's raining, i got to test it out. It is super light weight so I was very surprised at how warm it is. I haven't had to test it in wind yet, but cold rain is no match for it. I was waiting 25 minutes in cold rainy weather for my ride. I got so warm i had to unzip. I got my jacket 2 sizes too big so I can wear it over almost anything. Also, the extra room actually helps keep me warmer. Even if you live in a desert like me where it doesn't rain often, this is worth it. Comfortable. Warm. Light weight. Very pleased.

This jacket is amazing. Works as described. Water literally wicks off you in the rain. I got caught in a rainstorm while waiting for a ride and I was SOOOO glad that I remembered this jacket that day. I was dry and warm ironically when I thought I was going to be soaked. The fit is great because it's large enough to fit over clothes but still looks stylish and comfortable. I've gotten a lot of complements on how it looks. Also, it comes with its own pouch that I can pack it into in my book bag when not in use. Lastly, It dries super quick and it easy to care for. Just buy it. You'll need this jacket the next time you're caught in the rain!!!

Perfect should it start raining while playing golf. Very lightweight and stores away in my golf bag. Price ridiculously cheap

When they say "lightweight," they mean "LIGHTWEIGHT!!!" The fabric feels like something between silk panties and Saran Wrap. An XX size jacket folds up, and fits into the back pocket of my blue jeans. Not at all what I expected for 25 bucks. Certainly not much of a fashion statement. I'd put this coat in the same category as a mylar emergency blanket. Take it on a hike where you think sunglasses or a toothbrush are excess weight. Is it waterproof? My initial test indicated zero leakage. However, the thin material almost felt wet, although it was dry inside. Sorta like a condom? I suppose it does function as a rain jacket. I'll store mine in the plastic worm bin of my tackle box in case of April showers when fishing Beaver Creek. I can't remember the last time I actually needed a rain coat. Occasionally, I get a bit damp when dashing from my car into Big Mart. More often, I simply wait for the rain to quit before going shopping. For me, this rain jacket earns three stars. I was mostly hoping for a casual jacket to wear on moderately cool days. I would be too embarrassed to wear this garment in dry weather. But, it might be exactly what you are looking for. Just be advised that the fabric is sheer thin; yet doesn't feel very breathable.

I had a very similar jacket that had gone with me to various places in the world. It fit snugly into my backpack and was always on ready. I had it and used it not only to shield me from rain but to give me warmth in the cold. I loved it. Then either I lost it or someone stole it. I then found this one. It is so much like the one I had for a number of years. It is now in its proper place in my backpack having been already called on for service. And the service it renders is just what I need.
