Great Budget Bar.
Originally purchased this bar for my wife to use while learning various barbell movements. It also has come in extremely useful for me when performing light shoulder pressing warm ups while recovering form a shoulder injury. The knurling is a little aggressive, but not too bad. Overall, it's a good bar to have in the arsenal. One thing that I will mention is, as many reviewers have pointed out, this bar not meant to be used for any considerable weight. It seems to be best for female or young lifters who haven't developed their strength yet or as a training bar when learning new lifts. I would highly recommend once you are able to lift 60 to 80 lbs using this bar, and that is including the weight of the bar (15 lbs), you switch to using a standard 45 lbs barbell. If not, you will more than likely bend this bar. I can flex the bar when pushing in the middle of it while it's sitting on the floor, just FYI.

Fits fine between the uprights on most racks. 52 inches between collars.
This bar fits fine on my rack and the spacing between the collars is exactly 1 inch shorter than my 7 foot bars, 52 inches vs 53 inches. A standard Oly bench should be 51 between the uprights. Rage, if you are reading this, please update the listing to show the length between collars. The reviews that say this isn't the case are either people with weird racks or Rage changed the dimensions in the past year or two. Anyway, this is a very well made bar. It's got a comfortable medium knurl, I love the dual markings, and it's got surprisingly good spin, and I really like the length, it's easier to take in and out of the cage and just to handle in general. A lot of bar for the 115 I paid for it with Prime shipping. Speaking of shipping, guess what, folks? UPS and Fedex are gonna bang bars up. If you buy a bar online, buy it with Prime shipping and be prepared to send it back. You can expect about a 50/50 chance it arrives without the packaging busted and a few dings. That's dumb, but it's not the seller's fault generally, and it's a bar, it's gonna get dinged up, so as long as the spin is fine and the collars aren't bent, let it go, cupcake. This one was pretty lightly packed, but it was 15 lb bar, and it did fine. TLDR, I really like this bar, I got it for my wife primarily but I actually like using it to bench as well. I would be careful loading it anywhere close to its max weight, being so light it can get a little tippy with plates on just one side, while loading and unloading. Chrome finish isn't hard chrome or anything super fancy, and will probably chip here and there over time, but my workout room isn't a museum, and yours shouldn't be either.

Great training bar
Great barbell. When I train ladies and am introducing them to deadlifts, RDLs and teaching form/technique, I like using a full sized barbell although one that weighs less than 45 lbs.

Great for what it is, but only if you NEED it
First off...the picture; the bar in question is on top....there is a standard 45 lb 7 foot (I think they are 7 feet) bar on bottom so you can get a length comparison. It fits on my Fitness Reality rack with no issues and I am confident it will fit on most any power rack. All of that said, this really is a solid bar for its purpose. Would I recommend it? Yes and no. If you absolutely cannot lift a standard 45 or 33 lb bar, then this is a great alternative. I got my wife into lifting years ago, but the 45 lb (and even the 'womens' 33 lb) bars were too much for her. She burned out quickly and stopped. With this bar, she's was able to start at a very reasonable weight for her and is progressing. Once she's hitting lifts around 145-150 lbs we will upgrade her to a more standard 33 or 45 lb bar. By then I expect my children will be using this bar. Don't buy this bar expecting heavy lifts. It isn't for that.....for most of you, this will be a temporary piece of equipment. If you can easily lift 45+ lbs then save some money, skip this and get a 'real' bar.

Great training barbell
I just did my first workout with this barbell and a Fe first impressions: 1. The listing description is incorrect: the barbell does not have center knurling which is great for some lifts but crappy for back squats. If you want it for back squats, look elsewhere. 2. While not mentioned anywhere, the barbell is rackable on a standard rack which is amazing to properly teach non oly lifts. 3. Knurling is good enough. It’s grippy but not aggressive which makes a ton of sense given this is a very beginner barbell and it’s not expected to handle a ton of weight. I actually think this is the right level of knurling for it as forces you to pay attention to your technique and helps develop grip strength. Other than the lack of center knurling, this is an absolutely amazing bar at 1/2 the cost (or less!) of comparable alternatives.

Seems like a very good bar so far
I was a little skeptical on ordering this bar. Once it got here and I was able to check it out, I really like it so far. It was perfect for my younger kids for all types of lifting and it would also be great for kids and adults who are strong enough to use a standard bar but need something lighter to work on technique or overhead work. The collars were a little squeaky at first but once oiled, the spin freely and quietly. I am not 100% sold on the weight capacity for sure, although I am not sure why you would need to put 300# on this bar. On the other hand, it has a one year warranty so maybe it is worth trying. Word of caution, I believe that aluminum will snap/break and not bend when its over the limit so I would be very hesitant to try. I'm giving it four stars for now and will come back and update my review after a few months. I think it is a very good bar of this type and will be super useful around the house for very specific workout for adults and general workouts for kids. If you are using bumper plates, once you get past 65# of total weight on this bar, you would be able to use a standard bar and two-ten pound plates. While I think this bar can handle more than 50# worth of plates, I'm not sure that it can get to 300# capacity as claimed (I could be wrong though). So in summary, if you are looking for a technique type of bar to use with lighter weight, this could be a great bar for you. If you are looking for a full barbell substitute and plan on loading up to 200-300 total weight, I would recommend looking elsewhere, IMO.

Good Bar and Works great
I’m very happy with this Bar. Its Exactly 52 1/2 inches in between both collars and I nice finish. I have limited room in my workout area and my 7 ft bar was difficult to use, but now I have plenty of room to do my presses. I can fit 2 45 pnd plates on each side with plenty room for more plates, but be very careful. When I first tried this bar, I could feel the bar flex some so if you are being sloppy and slamming the bar back on the rack, I do not recommend this bar for safety reasons. I’ve always pressed with very controlled Reps so this bar works for me, but if you’re into pressing heavy plates (6-8 Plates) I Do Not Recommend this bar. The most I’ve put on this bar is 2 45’s and 1 25 pnd plates on each side with steady controlled reps and felt this would be the max load for this bar to operate safely. Other than that this bar is great and works for me!!
